10 Vintage Photos of Beachside Fun to Keep You Warm on Snow Days
These vintage beach photos will instantly transport you to a sandy shore where you can soak up the sun. After all, there’s no better way to spend a hot summer day than frolicking in the water.
Going to the beach was an all-day affair when we were kids. First, you had to pack the car with all the necessities: a beach umbrella, folding chairs, towels, sunscreen, sunglasses, and, most important, snacks. Then, everyone would file into the family station wagon, which Dad would drive to the shore. Once everyone had settled on the perfect spot to set up camp, the kids made a mad dash to the water — before Mom could even get them to put on their sunscreen. At the end of the day, everyone would trudge back to the car, completely covered in sand and exhausted.
If you live somewhere that’s cold year-round or your state is landlocked, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite beach photos so you can still enjoy the feelings of going to the beach without the sunburn and the sand. Close your eyes and you can even feel the breeze and smell the salt. Keep scrolling to take a trip down memory lane with these vintage beach photos.
