Robert Kornfeld, DPM

With over four decades of podiatric practice, Robert Kornfeld, DPM, is passionate about incorporating functional medicine into the diagnosis and management of foot and ankle pathology. Functional medicine is a mechanistic approach that identifies and addresses the underlying causes and mechanisms of disease, rather than just treating the symptoms. By applying this paradigm, he aims to heal the pain syndrome and improve the overall health and well-being of his patients.In addition to running his own podiatric practice, Chronic Foot Pain Center, where he specializes in healing chronic foot and ankle pain via functional medicine, he is also the Founder of The Institute for Functional Podiatric Medicine (IFPM) in 2023. IFPM is a teaching institute for progressive podiatrists who want to learn and apply functional medicine in their practice and free themselves from the abusive insurance-dependency model that limits how they can treat their patients. Through IFPM, he offers an online course and mentorship to train and support podiatrists in this innovative and holistic field of podiatric medicine and surgery.
