Helen Mirren may have looked like a million bucks at the Golden Globes last night, but her lipstick was a drugstore favorite that you can get your hands on for less than $15.

The Queen star, 73, was a showstopper in a wintery cranberry-colored Dior haute couture gown, which Mirren’s makeup artist, Jo Strettell, used as the inspiration for her dramatic pout. “Fresh, chic, and gorgeous,” Strettell told Woman’s World of Mirren’s red carpet lips.

To get Mirren’s pucker just right, Strettell started off with a L’Oréal Age Perfect anti-feathering lip liner in rich cranberry ($9.99, L’Oréal) to perfect the shape. From there, she used the brand’s Age Perfect luminous hydrating and nourishing serum ($10.99, L’Oréal) to provide the perfect pop of color.

Not only was this lipstick the perfect complement to the actress’s gorgeous frock, it was specifically formulated with anti-aging ingredients. At its center is a concentrated dose of L’Oréal’s proprietary nourishing serum, plus pro vitamin B5 that will hydrate for up to nine hours, and, over time, give the appearance of a smoother, more supple pout, according to the brand’s website.

Its 10 shades also stay firmly in place, removing any fear of feathering with wear.

Reviewers are loving this stick, noting its moisturizing, comfortable feel. “My lips look and feel as good as they could look with this lipstick! I’m a big fan!” wrote one happy customer, adding, “So is my husband!”

Added another: “It has a core packed with nourishing and hydrating ingredients that help heal and improve the texture of your lips over time. The formula glides on like butter.”

A third reviewer confirmed its staying power: “I like this lipstick! As promised, there’s no feathering, and my lipstick has stayed where I put it, resisting transfer to napkins and cups.”

It certainly did the trick for Mirren, who looked every bit the screen goddess with her color firmly in place, particularly when paired with the accompanying L’Oréal products used for her face.

Her skin was prepped with the company’s Cell Renewal rosy tone mask ($24.99) and moisturizer ($24.99) before radiant serum foundation ($15.99) and radiant concealer ($12.99) were applied for a light, natural-looking finish.

Mirren’s brows were defined with L’Oréal’s magnifying pencil, complete with vitamin E ($9.99), while her eyes were brightened with a Color Riche La Palette nude ($19.99), satin glide eyeliner in brown ($9.99), and age-defying lash magnifying mascara ($10.99).

As for her cheeks, they were flushed with radiant satin blush in peony ($12.99). The result? A picture-perfect look that’s both affordable and attainable for the everyday woman. Let’s all take a moment and bow down to Ms. Mirren, shall we?
