Dogs Doing the ‘Snoot Challenge’ Is the Perfect Pick-Me-Up After a Ruff Day

Tags:

Internet challenges are usually a bit ridiculous (not to mention dangerous, like both the Tide Pod and the cinnamon challenges), but sometimes a really sweet or funny pet video appears and begins taking the internet world by storm, much to our collective delight. That’s exactly what happened in the case of the “Snoot Challenge, ” a simple yet adorable “challenge” that has dog-lovers everywhere paying attention — and even getting in on the fun.

To complete said challenge, you’re supposed to make a circle or a heart with your hands right near your dog’s face. The pup will then usually put his or her little snoot (or entire face) in the opening — an act that seems even cuter when you film it up close. So far, hundreds of pups have participated in the challenge. Here are a few of our favorite contenders.

My turn to try the #snootchallenge! ❤️

A post shared by NUGGET THE CORGI (@nuggiethecorgi) on

Nuggie, a Welsh Corgi from Singapore, looks confused at first, but then she takes the plunge and pops here little nose in her human’s hands. How cute!

Whiskey Rye the Dachshund

Whiskey Rye is probably one of the most adorable Dachshunds we’ve ever seen. Her tiny paws, fluffy ears, and wagging tail make this video even sweeter. Just look at how talented she is with her snoot!

Riceball the Chihuahua

Riceball looks a bit hesitant at first, but once he gets his paw on his human’s arm, all bets are off.

Other pups weren’t impressed, but their failed attempts at the challenge are still just as cute. We especially love Sidney the Corgi’s failed attempt:

Do you think your pup could successfully pull off the “Snoot Challenge?” If he or she already knows the “touch command” — when a dog is trained to touch his or her nose to your hand — then you’re halfway there!

If you thought the snoot challenge was cute, you’ll love the cute before-and-after photos of dogs being told just how good they are:
