Corey Sevier’s diverse body of work demonstrates his versatility as an actor, as he’s tackled roles across various genres, including drama, science fiction and, of course, romance. But it has been his feel-good movies and shows on the Hallmark Channel that really caught our eye — not to mention his dark good looks, charming personality and butterfly-inducing smile.

Here we get to know the handsome actor a bit better, and list our favorite Corey Sevier romances — including his new anticipated Countdown to Christmas movie!

Corey Sevier’s early years

Born on July 3, 1984, in Ajax, Ontario, Canada, Corey Daniel Sevier discovered his passion for acting at a young age. His journey into the world of entertainment began with appearances in commercials and minor television roles. Sevier’s breakthrough came in the late 1990s when he was cast in the series Lassie which lead to a role in the popular period drama Little Men.

Sevier slowly built up his resume over the years, guest-starring in numerous well-known series, among them Psych, CSI: Miami, Smallville, Supernatural and Murdoch Mysteries. He also had recurring roles as David Hudson in ABC’s Mistresses, in WB’s martial art series Black Sash and FOX’s steamy drama North Shore.

He has also starred in multiple movies (not just of Hallmark fame). In 2019 he was in Lifetime’s Grounded for Christmas, which he starred in with Julianna Guill and Cheryl Ladd. He was also in the Love in Translation (2021) opposite Michelle Argyris. That same year, he took his skills to a new level in when he starred in and directed It Takes a Christmas Village, also on Lifetime.

Corey Sevier’s best Hallmark movies and shows, ranked

While Corey Sevier has built a successful career in the entertainment industry, he may be best known for his Hallmark movies — and we can’t get enough of him. Here we ranked Sevier’s Hallmark performances, which is no easy task considering the talent of this Canadian actor. Let us know if you agree!

8. Cedar Cove (2013-2015)

We just adore Sevier’s role in this Hallmark Channel television series — based on the books by Debbie Macomber — where Sevier plays the character of Seth Gunderson. The show is set in a picturesque coastal town of Cedar Cove, Washington and stars Andie MacDowell who struggles with romance, drama, and small-time life. Sevier is so captivating, he had us watching every episode.

7. Take Me Back for Christmas (2023)

It stars Vanessa Lengies as Renee and Corey Sevier as Aaron (we were happy to see this pair united again in another Hallmark flick). This sweet film focuses on a Christmas wish that comes true. Renee gets the super successful life she’s always dreamed of, but at the cost of losing her husband Aaron. But can she get him back?

Pumpkin Everything is a heartwarming fall-themed Hallmark movie. It tells the story of a young woman who returns to her hometown to help her family’s pumpkin farm. Along the way, she rekindles an old romance and rediscovers her love for all things autumn. Sevier plays the character of Kit, opposite love interest Amy, played by Taylor Cole.

Road Trip Romance revolves around a, you guessed it, road trip adventure. It follows two individuals, Megan (played by Natalie Hall) and Alden (played by Sevier) who are former high school rivals. They embark on a journey together, facing various challenges and adventures along the way, ultimately discovering love.

4. Dog Lover’s Guide to Dating (2023)

This heartfelt movie stars Rebecca Dalton as Alex and Corey Sevier as Simon. Their chemistry is palatable as dog lovers who find romance. Not only do we love the two stars of the movie, but the plethora of furry friends adds a nice touch to the ensemble.

3. Northern Lights Christmas (2018)

Ashley Williams stars as Zoey Hathaway, while Corey Sevier plays opposite her as Alec Wynn. The story follows a pilot who wants to fulfill her late uncle’s dream of rekindling the town’s Northern Lights holiday display. Sevier plays a handsome ranch hand, who is in charge of the resident reindeers, Holly and Palmer.

In this sweet holiday film Corey Sevier plays opposite fellow Canadian Natalie Hall. Hall plays a single mother who is angry at her grumpy neighbor (Sevier) for ruining her Christmas spirit. The on-screen chemistry between these two characters makes for a heartfelt romance.

1. Heart of the Holidays (2020)

Vanessa Lengies stars opposite Corey Sevier in our favorite Hallmark movie in Sevier’s repertoire. Two former high school sweethearts go their separate ways. Then career-driven Sam (played by Lengies) returns to her hometown for Christmas and runs into Noah (played by Sevier). They realize their flame never died.

Bonus: Everything Christmas (2023)

On their journey, they meet Carl (Corey Sevier) and Jason (Matt Wells) and the group takes on a series of Christmas attractions together. When they hit a few bumps in the road, there’s nothing a little Christmas magic can’t fix.
