Hoda Kotb Adopts a Second Child — “My Heart Just Grew”

Congratulations are in order for Hoda Kotb! The TODAY host proudly announced that she has adopted a second baby girl, Hope Catherine. What a gorgeous name!
Hoda, 54, cheerfully broke the news on NBC’s morning show via a phone call, proclaiming: “It’s a girl!” As her colleagues rejoiced on camera over the happy news, Hoda offered a few more heartwarming details about her and her partner, Joel Schiffman’s growing family.
“You know what’s funny? You think that you’re full,” Hoda said. “That’s exactly how I felt with Haley and Joel and everything. Joel and I were standing there when they hand you the baby, and it’s the closest thing to a live birth you’ll ever see, but in that moment, I was like, ‘Oh, my God, my heart just grew.’ It’s amazing. I can’t believe it’s happening.”
Isn’t it beautiful that she gets to experience that feeling again? The legendary anchor also shared that her two-year-old daughter, Haley Joy, has already embraced her very important role as the older sibling of the family. “This morning at breakfast, [Haley] was trying to feed [Hope] her raspberries, and I was like, ‘Not yet, babe.’ She was literally marching around saying, ‘I’m a big sister!'”
Our warmest wishes go out to Hoda Kotb and the rest of her lovely family during this joyous time.
