Little Boy Asks If Mom and Dad Are Really Santa; Mom Had BEST Response

Tags:

When they’re little, it’s easy to get children excited about the magic of Christmas: hanging stockings by the chimney, singing songs about reindeer with shiny noses, and setting out cookies for a certain jolly man’s visit. But inevitably, the day will come when a young child begins to wonder whether Santa Claus is real or not.

For one set of parents, the question was tough to answer, but they decided not to opt for a simple yes or no response. Instead, the mom and dad of young Ryan wrote him a heartwarming letter, which admitted that yes, they were the ones who bought his presents–but that the true meaning of Santa goes much deeper than that.

“Santa is lots and lots of people who keep the spirit of Christmas alive. He lives in our hearts–not at the North Pole,” reads the letter, which was shared on Facebook by Mommy Moment, a website for mothers run out of Canada.

Once you read the full message below, you’ll know that young Ryan didn’t get an important childhood fantasy taken away from him; rather, he got to learn about a much more important type of holiday magic.
