How to Win Free Burritos at Chipotle for a Year

If you love Chipotle, “free burritos” was probably enough to perk your ears right up. In the spirit of Halloween, the Tex-Mex chain is offering a frighteningly good deal: free burritos for an entire year! Some parents love planning Halloween costumes for their dogs, while others just want to enjoy their kids’ candy. But no matter where your enthusiasm levels fall on the Halloween spectrum, one thing is for sure — you can’t turn down discounted food! Here’s how to get a free Chipotle burrito.

How to Get Free Burritos at Chipotle

All you have to do to be entered for a chance to win is create a costume made of foil, and take a photo of yourself at Chipotle wearing your getup. Then, post the photo on Instagram and tag @chipotle. Seriously, how simple is that?

The submission period is from 3 p.m. local time on October 31 to 1 a.m. EDT on November 1. Chipotle will accept submissions using Instagram Story, as well as regular Instagram posts. You must be at least 13 years of age or older to participate, and the photo must be taken at a current Chipotle location. Each person is only allowed one submission.

After the acceptance window has closed, Chipotle will choose eight finalists “based on the originality, creativity, and quality of each submission.” Those eight winners will then have their photos shared on Chipotle’s official Instagram Story, and people will vote for their favorite. Whoever earns the most votes by the end will be declared the winnner. Head over to Chipotle’s website here to read the full contest rules.

Feeling hungry on Halloween? Chipotle has you covered! From 3 p.m. to closing time, Chipotle locations are offering $4 burritos, tacos, bowls, or salads to customers who show up wearing a costume. (When else are you going to be allowed to go to the restaurant dressed in a Chipotle Halloween costume?) Chipotle gets to determine what is and isn’t a costume, so a pair of kitty ears might not cut it. If you’re struggling to think of a creative getup, we suggest browsing the many burrito Halloween costumes for inspiration.

You can fuel up at Chipotle before you head out with the kids, or you can stop in once you’ve put them to bed if you need to recharge. The lines will no doubt be crazy, so be strategic about when you visit for this Chipotle Halloween deal. You can also order ahead of time through the app or place a delivery order to avoid the crowds by using the code “BOORITO” at checkout.

Even if you dread this time of year because you hate the Halloween scares, free burritos are always welcome.
