We’ve Launched a Free Puzzles and Games Section on Woman’s World!

How do you like to spend your free time? The Woman’s World magazine readers have made it clear they love doing all kinds of puzzles, so we set out to make it easy for you to get as many word and number games as your heart desires at any time! We’re proud to have launched a free — yes, free! — online puzzles section that offers daily crosswords, word search, and Sudoku!

Playing these types of puzzles (we’ve got an extensive archive, so you’ll never run out!) is the perfect leisurely activity for a lazy Sunday afternoon or an evening on the couch with a cup of tea, but they can offer a lot more than simple entertainment. According to a 2019 study (the largest one to date!), regularly playing puzzles such as crosswords and Sudoku can help keep our brains sharp as we age. In fact, the research found the more regularly adults aged 50 and over played, the better their brains functioned. Participants who did puzzles often did much better on tasks that assessed attention, reasoning, and memory; while puzzle enthusiasts were remarkably speedy and accurate. If that’s not a reason to get puzzling, we don’t know what is!

Whether you’re a puzzle novice or have been banging out crosswords for years, you’ll find something to keep you busy in our new puzzles section. Our Sudoku has easy, medium and hard difficulties to choose from and each puzzle is updated daily.
