Next, add in a handful of greens — I switch between spinach and kale — which are packed with antioxidants, vitamin C, and fiber. Leafy greens help fight chronic inflammation that can lead to premature aging, joint pain, weight gain, and more serious health conditions.

Antioxidants and healthy fat nourish your hair.

The smoothie’s vibrant tropical flavor comes from my favorite seasonal fruits — pineapple and mango — both of which contain beneficial vitamins and minerals. And last but not least, I throw in a quarter of a ripe avocado for added creaminess. Avocados are packed with omega-3 fats, which improve skin elasticity and hydration, contribute to healthy, luscious hair, and help to ward off disease.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces coconut water
  • 1 handful leafy greens, kale or spinach
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple or mango chunks (or use 1/2 cup of both!)
  • 1/4 ripe avocado
  • 1 scoop collagen powder

Just combine all these ingredients in a blender, and you’re done. Voila: we hope you love this refreshing summer sip as much as we do. Here’s to beauty that starts from the inside out!
