Do you have guests coming over and not enough time for a thorough, three-hour bathroom clean? We’ve got five fast and foolproof bathroom cleaning tricks that will get you across the finish line in less than 15 minutes.

1. Refresh your bathroom mat.

Got a spare bathroom mat lying around? Swap out your current mat for a freshly washed one to make your bathroom look like new. If you just have the one and it’s looking dingy and due for a wash, it’s best to remove it completely. To improve the slightly soaked mat you already have in your bathroom, spray some antibacterial cleaner to the fibers, as the mist will linger for longer and provide a fresh scent all evening.

2. Target the mold.

Mold found in the corners of your shower is an indication that you definitely need to clean, but your guests don’t need to know that! Many bathroom cleaning products can be sprayed onto mold, left for three to 10 minutes (depending on how tough the mold is), and then rinsed away with warm water. The removal of the mold will make your entire shower look clean and pristine.

3. Do away with dust.

A quick wipe over any shelves in your bathroom can make them sparkle. The clear shelves found in many bathrooms are the worst when it comes to detecting dust, so ensure you use an antibacterial spray and a warm cloth to wipe them down.

4. Disinfect the toilet.

When it comes to the cleaning your toilet, the best thing to do is to let a product do the hard work for you. Start with products that can be applied under the rim of your toilet and that clean with each flush. They will both disinfect your bathroom and emit a fresh, pleasant smell that lasts for weeks.

5. Light a candle.

By simply lighting a candle, you’re providing your bathroom with a warm and inviting atmosphere. And the fragrance will freshen the smell of your bathroom! Flowers also add a sweet touch.
