Two-year-old Madden Gray steals hearts whenever he enters a room on an average day, so when you pair his oh-so-sweet smile with his adorable costume on Halloween), well, letâs just say people with heart problems might want to keep a healthy distance.
Described by his family as âglobally underdeveloped,â Madden doesnât know how to walk or talk on his own, but heâs progressing every day with therapy. After Madden first got his walker last year, his loving parents, Courtney and Hyrum Gray, wanted to make sure he could incorporate his walker into fun things, as well â including Halloween.
âLast year, he had barely gotten his walker, and we were trying to think of ways to include it into his costume, so he was an old man, and my wife was an old woman,â Hyrum said. But this year, they wanted to be even more creative and come up with a cute costume to show off to people in their home city of Austin, Texas. And we think their choice was spot-on!
âThis year, we wanted to do something again to integrate his walker. Heâs just a special little boy, and everybody loves and adores him, so it just popped into our head to do a kissing booth,â Hyrum said.
It certainly doesnât hurt that Courtney and Hyrum are the owners and operators of Tneeâs Tpees, a company that creates rugs, blankets, and tents for kids. So the creative duo put their heads together to plan the idea themselves, and Hyrum ultimately designed it â just in time for a Halloween party at their church.
âEverybody came up and asked, âCan I give him a kiss?ââ Hyrum said. âLucky [for them], he was handing them out for free. We could have made tons of money!â
The online responses to the costume on the coupleâs company Instagram page, @tnees_tpees, and their sonâs Instagram page, @maddenhyrum, have also been overwhelmingly positive. And, honestly, we canât say weâre surprised.
This is sweeter than any Halloween candy!
