Clever Parents Incorporate 2-Year-Old’s Walker Into Cutest Kissing Booth Halloween Costume

Tags:

Two-year-old Madden Gray steals hearts whenever he enters a room on an average day, so when you pair his oh-so-sweet smile with his adorable costume on Halloween), well, let’s just say people with heart problems might want to keep a healthy distance.

Described by his family as “globally underdeveloped,” Madden doesn’t know how to walk or talk on his own, but he’s progressing every day with therapy. After Madden first got his walker last year, his loving parents, Courtney and Hyrum Gray, wanted to make sure he could incorporate his walker into fun things, as well — including Halloween.

“Last year, he had barely gotten his walker, and we were trying to think of ways to include it into his costume, so he was an old man, and my wife was an old woman,” Hyrum said. But this year, they wanted to be even more creative and come up with a cute costume to show off to people in their home city of Austin, Texas. And we think their choice was spot-on!

“This year, we wanted to do something again to integrate his walker. He’s just a special little boy, and everybody loves and adores him, so it just popped into our head to do a kissing booth,” Hyrum said.

It certainly doesn’t hurt that Courtney and Hyrum are the owners and operators of Tnee’s Tpees, a company that creates rugs, blankets, and tents for kids. So the creative duo put their heads together to plan the idea themselves, and Hyrum ultimately designed it — just in time for a Halloween party at their church.

“Everybody came up and asked, ‘Can I give him a kiss?’” Hyrum said. “Lucky [for them], he was handing them out for free. We could have made tons of money!”

The online responses to the costume on the couple’s company Instagram page, @tnees_tpees, and their son’s Instagram page, @maddenhyrum, have also been overwhelmingly positive. And, honestly, we can’t say we’re surprised.

This is sweeter than any Halloween candy!
