Inexpensive Halloween Bowls Are Selling for More Than $300 on eBay

Tags:

If you’re familiar with Rae Dunn’s pottery, you know that her Halloween bowls are in pretty high demand this time of year. But we didn’t realize people wanted the beloved “Hocus Pocus” and “Witch’s Brew” bowls quite this much.

Since launching her successful Etsy store back in 2007, Rae Dunn’s Halloween bowls now typically retail from $13 to $17 at retailers like T.J. Maxx. But many shoppers snatched them up at these retailers earlier this year, and Halloween enthusiasts are doing whatever it takes to get their hands on them — even if it means paying big bucks for them.

A recent bidding war drove the price up on the Halloween bowls to a whopping $371 on eBay — and it was the winning bid. Wow! Clearly these bowls must have a spell on some of these shoppers.

Though the Halloween bowls are mostly sold out online, there are still a few precious sets selling online as we speak, with many of them selling anywhere from $100 to $300. If you find yourself getting spellbound by them too, that seems to be the main option to buy them at this point — unless you happen to get lucky and see a few left over at your local T.J. Maxx.

But if you already have these Halloween bowls in your possession, consider yourself lucky. You’ll probably be the envy of any and all your guests that drop by on the holiday. Or if you’re not too attached to the bowls, this seems like a pretty easy way for you to make some extra cash for the season.

Guess we found the spell for ka-ching!
