Light, portable, affordable, and available in many shapes, sizes, and styles, baskets offer a decorative storage solution for every room in your home. From disguising clutter to hiding dirty laundry or simply keeping everyday essentials in one place, there’s a basket for every storage conundrum you come across in your home.

Bedroom

Use baskets in the bedroom to keep magazines, books, tissues, a spare pillow, your yoga mat, and other bedroom items that are necessary for comfort. But, can often look like clutter when lying around. As you’ll want easy access to the items, it’s best to keep a basket at the foot of your bed or on either side or tucked underneath a bedside table.

Bathroom

A sturdy, oversized basket or two will quickly become an essential addition to your bathroom. Perfect or keeping dirty towels and laundry out of sight, it can also double as a bath table to hold magazines.

Laundry

Tossing dirty clothes into laundry baskets is nothing new. But, there are other things you can do with baskets to make washing and ironing a little more organized and much more attractive, as well as keeping laundry staples neat and tidy and close to hand. Creating a basket for ironing is a useful idea, too.

Living Room

Whatever the season, there are always creature comforts lying around in the living room. A large basket is the ideal portable storage solution for your throw rugs, games, books, playing cards, spare tealight candles, matches, and all the other bits and pieces that make life more comfortable. But, look messy when scattered around a room.

Home Office

If your home office is little more than a desk in a corner, a small basket is ideal for storing your pens, paper clips, duct tape, a stapler, calculator, post-it notes, envelopes, stamps, and scissors. A basket with a wide, flat base, and straight sides is the best option for stationery as you can easily see what’s inside and paper won’t become creased. Small jars or gift boxes are great for storing paper clips, staples, and rubber bands.

Nursery

Baskets are a godsend when it comes to keeping kids rooms and nurseries in order. Use stylish storage baskets to keep diapers, socks, pacifiers, bibs, and toys in designated homes to make things easy for yourself and keep things as neat and tidy as possible.

Indoor Plants

Woven baskets will elevate your indoor plants and make them even more of a feature while adding texture to a room. Remember to put a tray in the base under the plant to catch water.
