Women Giving Back: Brahmin x Coco Michele for Black History Month

If you love leather bags and giving back, listen up! Andrea Ballo, celebrated Black artist and founder of Coco Michele Illustrations, is one of the many women giving back this Black History Month. Ballo has joined forces with luxury handbag brand Brahmin to release a limited-edition capsule collection that aims to empower and celebrate black culture.
“Brahmin has a proven history of being rooted in values that empower self-expression and foster an environment where everyone is welcome,” Ballo tells the luxury leather brand. “Because of our shared beliefs, I am thrilled to collaborate with Brahmin to create a collection that brings awareness to the beauty, values, and accomplishments of women in the African American community.”
The Coco Michele x Brahmin Capsule Collection seamlessly blends style and intentionality to raise awareness, education, and empowerment surrounding black womanhood. Ballo’s intricate illustrations titled Ivory Flourishing and Blush Renewal are showcased on Brahmin’s classic Caroline Bag and Silk Scarf and capture the essence of joy, self-love, and transformation.
In honor of Black History Month and aligned with the brand’s commitment to champion inclusivity and change for its community, Brahmin will donate 10% of proceeds of the sales of this collection to the National Council of Negro Women, an organization that aims to lead, advocate for, and empower women of African descent, their families, and the community.
