I Wasn’t a Fan of CBD Until I Tried This Product From Aspen Green

I was never a fan of CBD anything until I had a chance to try Aspen Green CBD products.
I’ve always been intrigued by research showing CBD to ease anxiety, as well as pain. Unfortunately, the CBD oils I tried never did much, and I remained on the fence about it — until now.
Although my previous experiences were lackluster, I was still interested in trying Aspen Green CBD products. They’re certified USDA organic, use third-party labs to test all products, and everything is grown in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. These are excellent indicators that they’re producing high quality CBD. They’re also frequently listed as one of the best CBD brands in the United States.
Aspen Green has a variety of USDA certified organic CBD gummies and CBD oils to choose from — they even have CBD for pets! However, if you’re looking for something to address multiple concerns go with EXTRA, Aspen Green’s Full Spectrum Organic CBD Oil. It has 100 milligrams of CBD per 1 milliliter, and comes in mint, citrus, or unflavored.
The tincture is a bestseller and a great introduction to the brand, especially if you have health issues that are impacting you on different levels. It has four different active phytocannabinoids to help alleviate stress, pain, anxiety and sleep disturbances — all in the power of a single dose. I don’t know about you but whenever I’m stressed, I suffer neck tension and poor shut-eye, so something that deals with every issue at once is a win. If you’ve tried other CBD brands and haven’t been impressed, seriously, give this a try. It’s a game-changer and has made believers in the power of CBD of many happy Aspen Green customers.
The first product from Aspen Green that I ever tried was the Relief Cooling Cream.
I’m a runner and struggle with tight calves. I’ll go into detail about my experience below but whoa! Amazing experience, and I didn’t have to foam roll, take an over counter pain medicine or anything!
To be fair, I shouldn’t be surprised. There have been a number of preliminary studies indicating cannabidiols as anti-inflammatory. When dealing with soreness or injury, it’s all about fighting inflammation, which probably explains why so many fitness and wellness folks love CBD.
CBD has other health benefits as well, but it’s important to know where yours comes from. Again, this is why I like Aspen Green. The company is involved in every aspect of the production process, and gives consumers all the info they need to know about each product.
If you’re curious about what specifically makes the Relief Cooling Cream so effective or want to know about what makes Aspen Green CBD products some of the best, keep reading or jump further down to some of my other favs from the company. What are the three types of CBD?
Many people think there are different types of CBD but that’s not true. “There are different formulations, as well as differences in quality of product,” says Dr. Adam Perlman, the Director of Integrative Health and Wellbeing for Mayo Clinic, as well as a board certified doctor of internal medicine who specializes in both Integrative and functional medicine.
“A full-spectrum CBD will have all components of the hemp plant, including .3 percent or less THC by weight of the product. A broad-spectrum removes THC from the finished product. An isolate is a product that will only have CBD – no other cannabinoids, terpenes, or flavonoids found in the cannabis plant.”
If you’re confused between the difference between CBD and THC, I totally get it. Like THC, it’s a substance found in cannabis plants but it also can be derived from Hemp. CBD stands for cannabidiol, and it isn’t a psychoactive, so it doesn’t make you high.
While there are scientifically proven benefits to THC, CBD alone is also beneficial, according to Dr. Perlman. It works as acting modulator between a variety of receptors in the body and brain. “In some cases, a full-spectrum product may provide more benefit as the other plant compounds act synergistically with CBD to possible potentiate various therapeutic effects.”
You can tell how potent a CBD product is by how many milligrams of CBD it contains. The higher the number, the stronger it is.
Research on the substance continues, but there’s been evidence that cannabidiols may benefit those with multiple sclerosis, Lennox Gastaut Syndrome, as well as chronic pain.
How long does it take for CBD to work on you?
Since CBD is not a psychoactive, it’s unlikely you’ll experience a dramatic shift in how you feel right away. “There isn’t a typical feeling of effect like there would be with a pharmaceutical or OTC medication,” explains Dr. Perlman. “CBD more commonly assists the body over time with consistent use.”
One of the things that makes Green Aspen so great is that many of their products also include beneficial botanicals. This means that along with all the health benefits of CBD, you’re getting other natural ingredients that aid the body in some way.
For example, the Green Aspen Relief Full-Spectrum CBD gummy has organic chamomile extract, which has bioactive compounds and has been shown to be anti-inflammatory. It also has organic turmeric — also loaded with health benefits.
Although CBD solo is nonintoxicating, it’s been shown to have positive effects on the nervous system. According to Mayo Clinic, these effects can include pain relief, relaxation, and improved mood. It’s often recommended to be taken twice a day, according to Dr. Perlman, but it can also be enjoyed on an as-needed basis.
“The goal is to find relief at the lowest possible amount. If [you] were to feel lightheaded or very lethargic it may be a sign that more was taken than necessary. CBD has a fairly short half-life, so if this happens, rest and lessen the amount the next time.”
If you’re taking medication or dietary supplements, it’s always a good idea to talk to your GP about drug interactions before adding anything new to your wellness routine. However, CBD is generally well-tolerated and considered safe, according to Harvard Health.
How do you know if a CBD is good quality?
With more people wanting to include CBD into their wellness routine, an abundance of companies have popped up with products containing the substance. However, the industry isn’t regulated by the FDA, and not all CBD is equal.
According to a 2020 article in the journal Missouri Medicine, a number of CBD products currently marketed contain heavy metals, have a disproportionate ratio of the substance to THC, and have misleading labels.
A reputable CBD company, like Aspen Green, will:
- Have a Certificate of Analysis (CoA): This document is necessary to show a company has met industry standards.
- Be grown domestically
- Labeling transparency: Beware of companies that don’t specify all of the ingredients within a product. The name and address of the manufacturer, as well as the product batch, control or lot number should be included. Products should also specify the amount of CBD in each serving.
- Usage directions: Products should include dosage recommendations, as well as any warnings/contradictions, and storage information.
- Third-party testing: Third-party labs test CBD products for contamination and toxins, as well as ensure phytocannabinoid counts are accurate.
One of the reasons I love Aspen Green CBD products and the brand in general is because they’re big on transparency. All of their products have a CoA, which can be linked to through a QR code. Their CBD is created from Hemp plants, all organically grown on farms in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, which is known for its nutrient-dense soil.
They’re involved in every process of the harvesting process, from soil to extraction to packaging, and their labeling tells everything you need to know about the dosage and other ingredients used in each product. And everything is tested by a third-party lab, so you know you’re using something of excellent quality when you go with them.

If you’re a fan of holistic medicine, then you know the concept of everything in the body being connected. You also know how one ailment can trigger off a myriad of symptoms you could probably live without. For a lot of people, that’s stress.
Stress impacts sleep, which means you’re more likely to wake up achy and frazzled — not a healthy way to start the day. What’s great about this bestselling USDA certified organic CBD oil is that it’s filled with a variety of active phytocannabinoids that ease stress levels, causing muscles to relax, which means an easier time snoozing. Many happy Aspen Green customers report that they were skeptical about CBD until trying this product, and have enjoyed better rest since adopting it into their routine.
The extra strength, physician formulated tincture has 100 milligrams of organically harvested CBD, and under .3 percent Delta-9 per dose. The dropper includes graduated markings, so it’s easy to tell how much you’re taking. If your health provider gives the thumbs up, the USDA certified organic CBD oil can be taken at least twice a day, so the active cannabinoids integrate with your system. To administer, place the oil in the back of the mouth by the gumline for 120 seconds, swoosh like mouthwash, and then swallow. And here’s a tip: for an even stronger experience, chow on a little peanut butter or another healthy fat before. According to a report from Science Daily, it helps with absorption!

Whether suffering from arthritis, lower back pain or dealing with an injury, the Relief Cooling Cream needs to be in your arsenal. The water-based cream is rich without being greasy or heavy, and quickly melts into skin to soothe aches. Along with 100 percent organic CBD, the cream has organic arnica, which has been used in homeopathic medicine and is anti-inflammatory. It also has moisturizing mango butter — also organic, and an army of other organic good-for-you ingredients that muscles and joints will love. There’s a touch of THC (under .3 percent) in it as well, and a little goes a long way, so the jar will last a long time. Apply a small amount to whatever area is ailing you, gently massage, and prepare for sweet relief.
Editor’s review: Of all the Aspen Green CBD products, this is my favorite — and that’s saying a lot. I’m a runner and though I’ve become better at including stretching to my routine, I still deal with sore feet and calves. This typically happens when I don’t take proper rest days or overtrain.
I immediately liked the texture of the Cooling Relief Cream. It had a lightweight, buttery feel and didn’t leave my leg feeling sticky. Some cooling products give a burning sensation and I have to fight with whether to toughen in out or wipe it off. Fortunately, that wasn’t the case with this. I definitely felt the menthol, but it was pleasant in that slight tingly “I think it’s working” sort of way. I massaged the cream in, elevated my leg and I kid you not, under 10 minutes the ache in my calf was gone! (For the record, I’m no stranger to pain relief balms and this isn’t my normal experience.)
I was so thrilled with it that I put some on my ankle (calf pain is usually linked to foot/ankle strength), as well as my other calf to balance the experience out. Later, I brought it over to my parents’ house, so my mom could try some. She has terrible neck pain and nothing seems to ease it. She massaged a little on and again, in about 10 minutes she reported that her neck felt less tense! She’s a tough critic, so I call that a major win.
Everyone reacts different to CBD, so I can’t say you’ll have the speedy results that my mother and I did. However, I highly recommend giving it a try. I love it.

High quality sleep is an essential part of health, but not everyone gets it. If this sounds like you, allow me to introduce Aspen Green’s Rest Organic Full Spectrum CBD Oil. Part of the Benefit line, the tincture is loaded with organic ingredients known to naturally promote slumber — no pharmaceuticals or prescriptions needed.
Organic skullcap is one ingredient inside Rest, and is known to have a calm quality. Organic Valerian root extract helps you fall asleep faster, according to an article from Mount Sinai, while organic lemon balm extract works to ease anxiety keeping you awake. And of course, there’s USDA certified organic CBD with these star ingredients, as well as a small amount of Delta-9 that over time will make meeting Mr. Sandman a breeze.
For best results, it’s recommended to take the CBD oil twice per day. While you may find rest instantly, give it about two weeks to see dreamy results.

I like to think of the Aspen Green Calm Organic CBD Gummies as nature’s chill pill — in gummy form!
Along with 25 milligrams of soothing CBD, they also have adaptogenic and herbal ingredients that ease the stress response. One such ingredient is Ashwagandha, which is often used in Ayurvedic medicine, and is anti-inflammatory. Like other adaptogens, it interacts with different systems in the body to make it more resilient in combatting stress. Lots of people swear by it, and this is an easy way to add it into your wellness routine.
The gummies also have organic Chamomile extract, used for anxiety-relief, as well as to ease upset stomach and sleep disturbances. If that wasn’t enough, there’s also holy basil — another stress-relieving adaptogen, lemon balm, and a small amount of Delta-9 THC, which has been scientifically shown to kick anxiety’s tush! The gummies taste like chewy lemon drops, so you may be tempted to take more than necessary. However, stick to one a day, as the recommend dosage. Trust — that’s all you need to feel to like your most zen self.
Editor’s review: I’ve mentioned my anxiety in other stories, so naturally I was eager to try these gummies out. I’ve been looking for healthy ways to relax for awhile but it’s been hard, because I don’t want to use anything that makes me sleepy or less than alert. I’m happy to report that the Aspen Green Calm Organic CBD Gummies didn’t make me doze off at my laptop or anything. In fact, I was able to do everything I needed to, only without the hunched shoulders, stomach knots or any of the inconveniences that come with being high-strung. I love the taste, and I stayed relaxed for hours!

If you’re struggling with chronic pain, you know how debilitating it can be. I’m not a fan of over the counter pain relievers for long term use, because of how they impact the liver. Instead, I prefer something more natural, like this full spectrum CBD oil. Like its name suggest, Aspen Green’s Relief Full Spectrum CBD Oil is worth a go when you need relief from daily aches and pains. Its CBD is extracted from whole hemp flowers that have been grown in nutrient-rich Colorado soil. If you have a green thumb, you know how important soil quality is, and just like all of Aspen Green CBD products, this is cultivated in a part of the country known for its topography and what it produces. Since it’s full spectrum, the body gets the benefits of the oils THC as well, plus there a bunch of other scientifically backed wellness ingredients included. One is organic turmeric, a known anti-inflammatory, which is what you want when you’re dealing with throbbing joints. Organic black cumin seed extract, traditionally used for back pain, also fights free radicals and has been studied in a variety of medical applications. There is also organic chamomile extract, organic ginger extract, and then some! Adding it into your routine is as easy as placing a dose of the oil in the back of your mouth by the wisdom teeth, holding for a little more than a minute, and then swallowing. While you may feel better after one dose, it’s designed to have the best pain relieving results over time, so the active cannabinoids can impact your internal system. One happy Aspen Green customer reported feeling a “a noticeable decrease” in daily discomfort in two weeks, and another reported being able to sleep better.
- Organic, anti-inflammatory ingredients
- Can be taken 2 times per day
- CBD extracted from phytonutrient and terpene-rich whole hemp flower s

However, lots of us know — myself included — that regular alcohol consumption isn’t great for the body. That’s where Aspen Green Bliss Organic Full Spectrum CBD Gummies come in.
