Costco Reddit Reveals 4 Buys Shoppers Regret Not Buying—How You Can Still Get Them

These items flew off the shelves and Costco Reddit fans reveal items they missed—don’t make the same shopping mistake!

If you’re anything like us, you’ve been in this very position: You find something you love at your favorite store but something keeps you from buying it—the price, the feeling that it’s unnecessary, the fact that there’s a long line or another reason—and you leave the item behind, assuming you can pick it up next time if you really want it. But at stores like Costco and Dollar Tree, it’s unlikely you’ll ever see that product again and you regret your decision.

Costco shoppers know this situation all too well, especially since the big-box store is always changing their product selection and may not carry the same product twice. Costco lovers recently chimed in on the products they regret passing up, which can, perhaps, save you from a similar situation. Keep reading to find out which Costco items shoppers wish they had bought, plus how you can find the item—or a dupe!

Glass Christmas ornaments

Loyal Costco shoppers remember the store’s Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Christmas ornaments that were only sold for a limited time.

One Reddit laments, I was just looking around and not wanting to get in line to buy something so, since they had a whole pallet of them, I decided to wait. I went back a few days later and they were gone. That’s the last time I waited to buy something I wanted at Costco.”

Although the collection is no longer available at Costco, you can likely find it at other stores like this set from Etsy or a similar set from Wayfair.

Women’s Kirkland T-shirts

A T-shirt is just a T-shirt, right? Not when you find the perfect one: It’s soft, it fits well, washes well and just looks great on. Many Costco shoppers say the Women’s Kirkland Pima Cotton V Neck T-shirts was that ideal shirt—and now it’s gone.

“I bought the ones I have in 2022 or 2023 and have not seen them since,” one Reddit user wrote. “They’re just now showing their age with fading and losing their shape a bit.”

Right now, the only option shown on the Costco website is a crew neck version of the shirt, but it’s currently unavailable.  Fortunately, you can find them on Ebay, Amazon and other third-party retailers.

Sketchers Go Walk leggings

Another must-have Costco clothing items is also a comfy wardrobe staple for many women: Sketchers Go Walk leggings. Costco shoppers on Reddit shared they wish they bought more pairs, especially because they’re usually much cheaper at Costco than anywhere else!

“More Skechers Go Walk leggings,” one user begged. “I bought two pairs. I should have bought a full week’s worth. They’re my favorite leggings and nothing else compares.”

The good news? You can still purchase the leggings from other stores, such as Amazon, Kohls or the Skechers website but the price is significantly higher than Costco’s prices, reaching nearly $50 for one pair. But they’re just as popular—with an average 4.8-star rating from shoppers who rave: “I am extremely impressed. They are comfortable and fit very well. I love the amount of support they give my legs when I am working out. They are nice and thick. They don’t fall down.”

The giant skeleton

Costco’s giant skeleton was a beloved item at the warehouse store and everybody wanted to get their hands on it. So if you saw it and passed it up, it was probably gone on your next visit. The giant skeleton is hard to come by at Costco, where it originally sold for $399, but you can find it at other stores.

Bed Bath & Beyond and Walmart both sell the decoration but it’s a bit more expensive at $469.99. Try and get your hands on one before Halloween comes around.
