Here’s How I Sneak In 2,000 Extra Steps a Day Without Leaving My Desk
If you work from home, this combo is a must
If you’ve ever wondered how many steps you need daily to experience weight loss, the truth is it varies. But if you’re like me, you have a daily goal that you like to reach. Working from home allows me to get out and walk in nature more than you might think, but some days, the weather doesn’t cooperate or I’m too busy to head outside for a long walk. That’s where my standing desk and walking pad combo comes in. Right now, you can shop them both at the best deals during Amazon’s Big Spring Sale!
I’m a big fan of habit stacking, or linking a new habit to an existing one. Getting more steps has become so much easier since adding an incline walking pad under my adjustable standing desk. On average, I’ve been getting 2,000 more steps daily than I was last month.
Well, technically 2,114 more steps. But who’s counting?
My Apple Watch SE. That’s who. And it’s 32% off at Amazon right now!
Those added steps are thanks to walking while I check emails, take meetings, and make edits. I’ve also found myself using my walking pad/standing desk combo on the weekends. I like to read while I walk (right now I’m working my way through the ACOTAR series).
The best part is you can grab both at a discount during the Big Spring Sale at Amazon.
Here’s what I love most about these home office additions:
- Both were extremely easy to set up. The under desk treadmill only weighs 29 pounds and has wheels that make it easy to move around. The standing desk from Vari came with easy-to-follow instructions and I had it put together in 20 minutes.
- Both have quiet mechanics. I can barely hear the standing desk when it adjusts to one of the four programmable settings I have saved. The walking pad is also super quiet underfoot (which is good because I get up before everyone else to start my day).
- Both don’t take up much space. The standing desk fits beautifully under the window in my office (I have the 48×30 size) and the walking pad gets tucked under it when not in use. When I’m not standing and/or walking, I’m sitting in my Designer Ergonomic Office Chair from TopJob.
Get the WELLFIT Incline Walking Pad Treadmill ($140) and the Vari ComfortEdge Adjustable Standing Desk ($600) during Amazon’s Big Spring Sale. And while you’re at it, add a this carpet protector mat from Gorilla Grip ($42) if you’re using the walking pad in a carpeted space like I do. Shop now through March 31 for the best deal!
