Telehealth providers such as Balanced Hormone Health look at hormones as the predominant reason for weight gain. It offers a wide range of weight loss treatments from GLP-1s to other medications, allowing you to explore a variety of avenues to help you lose that unwanted weight.

We took a close look at it’s services and found that virtual enrollment is quick, with customer care available whenever you need it.

Balanced Hormone Health treats weight loss, virtually

The telehealth provider was started by Jill Petry, an Iowa-based mom who was experiencing weight gain, exhaustion and full-body weakness by her late 30s. After being failed by several doctors, she eventually started hormone replacement therapy (HRT) as well as a GLP-1. Within months, she was back to her old self and decided to dedicate her life to making hormone therapy more accessible. She formed a partnership with nurse practitioner Angela Wicks and eventually, they got their business off the ground. It’s now LegitScript-certified, which means it adheres to both financial and medical rules for telehealth providers; and it’s available in all U.S. states except for Alabama, Alaska, California, Hawaii and Mississippi.

Virtual enrollment speeds up the process

Like other telehealth providers we’ve covered, the enrollment process is quick and easy. You’ll start by filling out a new client form. Bloodwork is only required for HRT — not for GLP-1s, though it may be safe to get it done, anyway. You’ll then meet virtually with one of Balanced Hormone Health’s providers to craft a treatment plan. Any medication is sent to your home.

Balanced Hormone Health offers a variety of treatments, tools and services:

Balanced Hormone Health treatments:

  • GLP-1 Plus
  • Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy
  • Testosterone Replacement Therapy
  • BioBoost
  • Enclomiphene Monotherapy

It offers educational tools

In addition to giving access to GLP-1s, Balanced Hormone Health also offers additional tools to ensure you’re losing weight safely and quickly. The resources tab has a plethora of PDFs that you can download, including information about semaglutide and tirzepatide medications; a weekly weight tracker; and ADA diet guidelines. This not only helps you understand what kinds of medications you’re taking, but it also helps you change your lifestyle habits such as adhering to a healthier diet.

Patients can opt into a health and fitness program

For an extra $97 per three months, patients can also opt into a health and fitness program that will help you change your lifestyle, from the comfort of your home. It includes meal planning, grocery shopping lists, macro guidance and a personalized exercise plan, to ensure you’re doing your part in changing your daily routine for maximized results.

Customer care is included with the medication

Balanced Hormone Health touts its customer care. The company offers free follow-ups, as well as provider-patient contact, for any questions or concerns. You can simply call, text or email with any queries regarding dosage, side effects and more. You can also join a private support group that only patients have access to.

We asked customer service questions via text

We reached out to the Balanced Hormone Health team directly

to ask a variety of questions about their offerings and services, where they are available and how to reach customer care. Although they did not initially pick up the phone when we called, we also emailed (and texted) via the number that is provided to prospective customers on Balanced Hormone Health’s website. Within about an hour, they were able to respond to all of our general queries relatively quickly and effectively.

It does not cost extra to ship it directly to your home, and it will generally take about a week to receive your medication, following your first appointment.
