What to know so far about the AC/DC tour
AC/DC’s 2025 tour kicks off in April, spanning 12 states and two countries, with performances in major stadiums across North America over a nearly eight-week period.
While the official setlist remains a mystery, fans can expect hits from the 2020 PWR/UP album alongside classics like “Thunderstruck,” “Back in Black,” and “Highway to Hell.”

“‘Highway to Hell’ stands the test of time.” AC/DC’s songwriter and lead guitarist Angus Young said. “We still play it, and the audience relaxes and sings along. There were a lot of people telling us at the time, How dare you? You’re going to cause suicides. We had to dig in and stick to our guns with it. And it got us our first gold record in the U.S.”

Which members of AC/DC will be touring in 2025?
Founder Angus Young, Brian Johnson—who has been the lead singer since 1980, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young who joined in 2014, drummer Matt Laug and touring bassist Chris Chaney are expected to be involved with the tour—the same folks who played the 2023 Power Trip Festival in Indio, California.
While it’s the first tour in nine years for the band, for lead singer Brian Johnson, it’s been even longer since during the 2016 tour, hearing loss meant Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose had to fill in for him.

This latest tour comes after Angus’ brother Malcolm, who co-founded the band with him, died in 2017.
“This band was Malcolm’s creation, and he put it all together,” Angus said in 2020. “The album that defined us as a band: Let There Be Rock. Our older brother, George, produced it and was our partner at the time. He asked me and Malcolm, ‘What would you like to do with this album? How do you want it to come out?” And Malcolm said, ‘We want an album that’s full-on guitar and in-your-face and pure hard rock.’”
“That’s what we went for. Now that I’m thinking more about it, the song that sticks out the most from the album is ‘Whole Lotta Rosie.’ That was a big track, a rock track. I’m not talking about sales or anything. When we play live, everyone comes and expects to hear that song.”
