Bath soaks: Oatmeal calms dry, itchy skin
To treat irritated skin on the body, look to oatmeal. It has anti-inflammatory compounds called beta-glucans that are also hydrating and help repair skin’s barrier to ward off future dryness and irritation.
Try it: Cut one foot from an old pair of stockings, fill it with 1 cup of old-fashioned oats and tie a knot to create a sachet. Add to a warm bath and soak for 15 minutes, pat skin dry and apply lotion to seal in moisture.
