Grieving Wife Receives Comforting Signs From Heaven: “He’s Helping Me Get Through!”
'Woman’s World' reader Cece Schroeder's broken heart is healed by miraculous signs
For the last 20 years Woman’s World magazine has featured the weekly “My Guardian Angel” column, where real women share first-person accounts of their amazing encounters with Angels. Now, we are sharing those heartwarming stories of loving comfort, Heaven-sent helpers and miraculous rescues online with the mission of continuing to spread hope and light.
Here, Woman’s World reader Cece Schroeder was grieving the loss of her husband when he sent her multiple signs that he was still near.
Cece’s Guardian Angel story told in her own words:
My husband, Mark, and I had been married for almost 30 years when he was diagnosed with COPD. At that time, we had three children under the age of 18, and we were both under 50. We had a lot of life left to live as a family. He was on life support for about a week when he was diagnosed. He was able to come home after about 3 weeks.
It was a rough recovery, but he pulled through. But the next few years were a roller coaster. Mark was in and out of the hospital before we lost him on November 11, 2022, at the young age of 55.
The morning he passed, I was alone with him for several hours. I felt I needed to tell him I was sorry for taking him for granted and apologized for not being a better wife. He raised his hand and waved me off and said, “You were fine.” I said, “Fine? Is that all you got?”
We laughed because he was always a man of few words. He expressed himself better through his actions. He was the best husband, father, provider, family man and friend. He was one of the hardest working, strongest and determined people I knew. He took such good care of us.
The weekend after he passed, I needed to get out of the house and went to a thrift store. I also had a mission to find an urn. I didn’t want the typical urn. I wanted something unique, like Mark.
At the store, I was wandering around in a daze. I was in the arts and crafts area and noticed a white cup totally out of place. For some odd reason it really stood out. I am not a coffee drinker, and I honestly don’t need any more cups. Something drew me to it. I picked up the cup and turned it around and started to cry. Printed on the cup was ‘I AM FINE.’ I knew then Mark was with me.
Unfortunately, the cup did not have a price tag and the store’s policy is if it does not have a tag, they have to re-tag it and will put it out the next day. I walked up to the manager and said, “You don’t understand… I need that cup!”
I briefly explained my situation. She made an exception. I held that cup tight the entire time I was in the store. Thankfully, I also found a unique urn, and was able to purchase both the mug and the urn. I was so excited!
The next day, I went to the hardware store to get some paint. After picking it up, I had a another stop to make. It had been really cold and I was debating about keeping the paint in my truck. I asked a man walking by. He responded, “It should be fine.”
As I got into my truck, I turned on my radio. The song that was playing was “I’ll Be There for You” by Bon Jovi. I knew it was Mark again watching over me.
I have been very lucky and have received signs from Mark everywhere. The day he passed, my daughter found a dime at the hospital. Since then, I have found a dime every month that he has been gone. Whenever I’m having a bad day or thinking of Mark, he puts a song on the radio that meant something to me or us. I know he is still with me and helping me get through this.
An Angel expert weighs in…
“Following the loss of her husband, Mark, Cece received several signs from him. The discovery of a cup inscribed with I AM FINE in a thrift store, mirroring Mark’s last words to her, felt like a direct communication from him, offering her comfort and reassurance,” says Sunny Dawn Johnson, a global authority on the angelic realm, with a portfolio of 22 books, including popular titles such as Invoking the Archangels, The Love Never Ends, and 365 Days of Angel Prayers. “Further affirmations of Mark’s presence came through everyday encounters and moments, like the advice from the man about paint and hearing significant songs on the radio. These are all powerful signs that our loved ones are never really gone, and we are not alone.” Read more of Sunny’s insightful stories here.
