Lego is always releasing new sets, and one of the newest to hit shelves is their bookstore build. With 1,690 pieces, two minifigures, a typewriter and tons of tiny Lego books, this set is a dream come true for any bibliophile.

The design brings to life a two-story café/bookstore called Brickville Books—a nod to the toy’s classic plastic bricks. Scattered throughout the shop are hidden mementos that pay tribute to popular  book genres: a magnifying glass for mystery lovers, a rose for romance readers, a magic lamp for fantasy fans and a trophy celebrating award-winning and bestselling books.

As if that weren’t enough, the entire set folds in half, transforming into what looks like a book cover on the outside, making it the perfect piece of bookshelf decor.

“This bookshelf décor model makes a perfect gift idea for writers and book lovers and a captivating display for the home or office,” reads the product description. “Place the book nook between your favorite novels to create a window into a cozy bookstore, or open it to explore a richly detailed two-story interior with elegant balconies and a spiral staircase. Discover thoughtful details throughout, from the snug author’s workspace to quiet reading areas and subtle references to renowned works of literature.”

The set costs $150, and customers insist it’s worth every penny.

“This set is full of fun, surprising details that you’ll find as you build it. The minifigs are cute, and there are lots of places for them to stand and sit throughout the scene,” raves one customer.

Another wrote, “I absolutely loved this build! The finished book nook is so well designed. The attention to the small details is what really makes it extraordinary—the hidden lamp in a pull-out drawer, a false book set that shows a hidden chalice, to the awesome shelf decor. Truly, applause and appreciation to whomever designed this piece.”

More ways Lego is paying tribute to book lovers everywhere

Along with the book nook, Lego is also hosting free building sessions at Barnes & Noble locations all across the country in November! During the event, fans can get and build a free LEGO set, no purchase required!

To attend, all readers and builders need to do is sign up online. Tickets are going fast, so to ensure your spot, call your local store and ask about availability and timing.

Following the event announcement, the popular social media account The Freebie Guy posted information about it. People who have attended past Lego and Barnes & Noble events then hit the comments, offering advice on how to snag a spot. Highlights included “Make sure you go an hour early. I tried to go to get the Halloween one and it started at 1:00, they were out by 1:03. People started getting in line at 12:30.”

Someone else advised, “keep in mind that every store does things differently and you need to call YOUR store to find out how they run things. We had a lot of people get misinformation from influencers and were rude with employees when told that we run ours on sign-up only. Not first come, first served.”
