From Conrad Hilton to Richard Burton: Elizabeth Taylor’s Wedding Photos Are Pure Old Hollywood
Peek inside Elizabeth Taylor’s glamorous weddings—from her first vows to her most lavish “I do”
Hollywood starlet Elizabeth Taylor is renowned for a multitude of matters—her obvious talent, her stunning looks (specifically the contrast of her violet eyes and dark hair) and her eight marriages to seven men.
Throughout her life, the actress was a part of eight remarkable wedding ceremonies that took place all over the world, from California to her birthplace of London, England and Acapulco, Mexico. Considering her star status, unreal photos exist of Taylor with her many husbands, all of whom are worth a glimpse. Take a look at these rare photos of Elizabeth Taylor during her various weddings.

Elizabeth Taylor and Conrad Nicholas Hilton Jr. tied the knot on May 6, 1950. Taylor was only 18 years old while her new husband was about 24. In the photo above, Hilton is about to feed the stunning bride a piece of their wedding cake, surrounded by friends and family.

Newlyweds 18-year-old Elizabeth Taylor and 24-year-old Conrad Hilton Jr. leave the festivities of their wedding for a secret weeklong honeymoon. People congratulate the happy couple as they head out the door, smiling. Of course, their marriage wouldn’t last long as they split up in 1951 after eight months of marriage.

By the time Elizabeth Taylor was set to marry her second husband, Michael Wilding, the Hollywood starlet was a mere 20 years old. The above photo shows off the stunning bride in a much more casual wedding dress than the previous one, holding a bouquet. The image is from the day of her wedding to Wilding on February 21, 1952.

In 1957, just weeks after her divorce from Wilding was finalized, 24-year-old Taylor wed her third husband, 49-year-old Mike Todd. The couple tied the knot in Acapulco, Mexico. The photo above shows Taylor and Todd dancing and kissing at their reception.
Although Taylor considered Todd to be her “true love” and for their marriage to be strong, it was unfortunately cut short due to a tragic plane accident that took Todd’s life nearly one year after their wedding.

Following the tragic death of her third husband, Taylor took some time to grieve from his loss and cope with being a single mother to their daughter, Liza Todd, whom they welcomed on August 6, 1957.
The photo above shows Taylor following her 1959 wedding ceremony to Eddie Fisher, the ex-husband of her good friend and actress Debbie Reynolds. They married just weeks after Fisher and Reynolds’ divorce and ultimately halted their friendship.

The happy couple is seen leaving their Las Vegas wedding, looking out the back window of their car and smiling for the cameras. At the time, Taylor was 27 years old while Fisher was almost 31.

During her marriage to Fisher, the actress met her co-star and next husband, Richard Burton, on the set of the 1963 film, Cleopatra. Although both Taylor and Burton were married to other people at the time of their meeting, it didn’t stop them from engaging in a torrid love affair, ending in their eventual divorces and marriage to one another.
In the above photo, Taylor and Burton are seen holding each other during their first wedding (there were two). Taylor is clearly enamored with Burton as she smiles while he holds her.
