1. Holly Robinson Peete

21 Jump Street star and TV personality Holly Robinson Peete has two dogs, and told us, “I’m a big dog girl and wherever I go, they follow me through the house. They’re needy but they’re like therapy comforting dogs. I’m grateful for my dogs’ companionship and their unconditional energy with so much love.”
2. Giada De Laurentiis

Celebrity chef and TV personality Giada De Laurentiis shared how her dog encouraged her to be more active, saying, “I got a dog. And I realized that he started to make me walk a lot more. Not walking for exercise but walking more for serenity, peacefulness. Taking a break from daily life and leaving my phone at home”
3. Fran Drescher

“I only ever have one dog at a time,” shared The Nanny star Fran Drescher. She prioritizes her dog so much that she said, “In Portugal they have national healthcare that includes the family dog. I’ve been thinking and dreaming about living there for awhile.”
4. Wynonna Judd

Country queen Wynonna Judd has always been a dog lover, and she makes sure to keep her pets close, no matter what. As she shared, “We have six dogs here in the house and they are always at my feet, and I surround myself with trinkets of fur. It’s the truth. I swear to goodness, if I didn’t have these trinkets of fur, I would get really disheartened and I know that.”
5. Valerie Bertinelli

The One Day at a Time actress, TV host and cookbook author Valerie Bertinelli said that her best advice is “Honestly, adopt a pet. You will never get lonely if you have a dog or a cat in your life, I can guarantee you.”
6. Rita Moreno

West Side Story star and trailblazing Hollywood icon Rita Moreno had adorable things to say about her dog. “I have a little doggie name Sarita, which is Spanish for Little Sarah. She’s a Morkie. She’s 6 lbs. and she looks like a stuffed doggie, one of those,” she said. “I never call her a dog, I call her a doggie. She’s so little and cute. She’s about 10 years old now, but she doesn’t look it. She’s lively and she doesn’t like other dogs, but I’m saying it’s menopause.”
7. Trisha Yearwood

“My dogs are definitely my happiness,” country star Trisha Yearwood told us. “Hiking with them brings me so much joy — in fact, just watching them living life and loving life brings me joy! I feel grateful that they can run and enjoy and chase squirrels and have a good time.”
8. Kristin Chenoweth

“I happen to be a dog lover, but I love all animals,” shared actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth. “I always say ‘dog’ is ‘God’ spelled backwards. If I’m ugly, pretty, happy, sad, my dog gives me unconditional love. I can watch the news and get really down about the state of things, but then I look at that dog and she can make me laugh. What she does is go, ‘Hey, don’t sweat it, momma. I just need my treat and let’s go for a walk,’ and she kisses my tears when I cry. She licks them up and I know that grosses some people out, but I don’t care. I love her to death”
9. Shania Twain

Country diva Shania Twain told us that her Pomeranian is “one-of-a-kind,” and said, “I picked her because she was so unique. The first thing she did when I met her was she started to try to undo my laces, so I thought that was cute and I knew she was a character. She’s got a sense of humor. “
