Despite a brief break in which they called off their engagement, Cox has since said that that time apart allowed her to do a lot of necessary work on herself, and during an appearance on Minnie Driver's Minnie Questions podcast, she explained, “When we got back together, it was a different relationship, but also because it really taught me how I operated in the world."
