Juno Temple Quietly Married the Husband She Met While Working on ‘Ted Lasso’

Juno Temple, 37, is one of the most beloved actresses to grace the Ted Lasso screen, and her time playing Keeley Jones has been fruitful in more ways than one. Juno Temple met her husband during Season 2 of ‘Ted Lasso’

Earlier this month, Juno Temple and a few of her Ted Lasso costars sat down to chat on the TFI Unplugged podcast, and the actress revealed that she and Michal had gotten married. Juno went on to detail the story of how they met, sharing that it was during Season 2 that they first crossed paths, as he was both her and Hannah Waddingham’s driver. 

“She said, ‘Can I ask him on a date?’ I was like, ‘Yes, you can. He’s gorgeous,’” revealed Waddingham. Juno went on to share the intricacies of their initial romance, saying, “He was driving Hannah. They had a secret code where I could go meet them and accidentally, Hannah’s appointments would run over.”

Hannah Waddingham went on to share that she gave Michael a warning to look after her pal, but said that the love they share is as good as it gets. “They are the greatest oxygen to each other,” Hannah raved, before Juno added that she and her new hubby even bought a house together. 

Who is Michal Szymanski?

Juno’s husband Michal was working as a driver at the time of their introduction, but he also has a history on the screen, having acted in various Polish television series. When he’s not working on personal projects, he’s by his wife’s side as she prepares for her own. Back in 2024, Juno shared with the Los Angeles Times what had gone into preparing for her role in Fargo as Dot—and Michal’s hilarious reaction.

“My dialect coach, Liz Himelstein, did the original Fargo movie and has done every season since. I started working with her while I was shooting Ted Lasso, which was interesting for my fiancé [actor Michal Szymanski]. He was like, ‘There’s a lot of people in this apartment right now—Keeley, Juno and Dot.’”

Juno Temple’s on-screen love story has fans hopeful

Fans are thrilled that Juno found her forever in her husband Michal, but it’s her Ted Lasso love story with Brett Goldstein’s Roy Kent that has people’s attention. The chemistry between these two characters is clear, and since breaking things off in the show, fans have been wishing to see them finally get back together—and Juno Temple hears them loud and clear. In conversation with Screen Rant, she shared, “I mean, will they, won’t they? I mean, there’s definitely chemistry there, isn’t there? And that’s something that I love. I feel like Keeley could probably have chemistry with a teapot, but at the same time, there’s something with Roy where it feels like it slightly stops her in her tracks, which I love. But will the time be now or not? I don’t know. I think it’s about kind of…I mean, I sure as hell know that I don’t want it to be the wrong timing again.”
