The Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond Shares Photos of Daughter Paige’s Western Themed Engagement Shoot
The Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond Shares Daughter’s Engagement Photos
Ree Drummond’s daughter Paige is staying true to her country roots! The Food Network star, also known as The Pioneer Woman, recently shared the engagement photos of Paige, her second child and second daughter, and her new fiancé David, and they truly exude life on the ranch.
“Paige has always known she wanted to get married on the ranch, but she also wanted to have an official engagement photo shoot on the ranch so the photos feel more like home,” Drummond wrote in a new blog post. “And mission accomplished! Our good family friend Betsy Dutcher (who is named after my sister Betsy–that’s how close our families are) came out to the ranch earlier this week and had an evening photo shoot with the tall lovebird pookie heads. Warning: These pics will make you want to sing a country song.”
Drummond added that while Paige would soon be sharing more photos from the shoot, she wanted to offer a first look to her loyal fans who have watched Paige grow up. The photos showed Paige and David matching in white, donning cowboy hats and frolicking through the tall grass with the sun setting in the western sky as their backdrop.
“Young love! It’s a beautiful thing,” Drummond exclaimed before offering some detailed behind-the-scenes insights.
After the photos were taken, she wrote, David had to drive back to Dallas for work the next day, and Betsy had to drive back to Oklahoma City. So, Drummond made them both ham sandwiches with wheat bread, Duke’s mayo, salt and pepper, Dijon mustard, ham provolone, and cheddar jack. Betsy had Cool Ranch Doritos and David had sour cream and onion Lays chips on the side as well as green grapes.
“Have I mentioned packing people sandwiches for solo drives is my new favorite hobby?,” she concluded. “Congratulations again, Paige and David! Love seeing your happiness!”
All about the engagement of Ree Drummond’s daughter, Paige, and fiancé David
Back in August, Drummond said she was thrilled and relieved to finally reveal the news and photos from Paige’s Dallas, Texas engagement after over a month of keeping things on the downlow. She included the sweet photos of Paige being taken by surprise when David got down on one knee to pop the question as well as touching mother-daughter moments.
“We are so happy!,” Drummond gushed. “Paige and David are such a great match, a terrific team! Paige is my strong, mighty, wonderful daughter and the fact that she found a person she wants to spend her life with is a pretty indescribable feeling.”
In a subsequent blog post, Drummond revealed more details about the process of pulling off the engagement. Paige thought she was going out to a special dinner with her roommates since their lease was up and they all were about to move out of the apartment they’ve shared in Dallas, Drummond said. Instead, her friends “conveniently” drove by a beautiful park (where David was waiting) and made her get out of the car to meet him.
The rest of the immediate Drummond family, along with David’s family, were hiding out in their cars on a side street, and once they saw that Paige said yes, they headed down to congratulate them.
“At this point, I think Paige was still a little on the stunned side,” Drummond noted.
After the engagement, Paige and David headed to a nearby rooftop restaurant, where they were greeted (and Paige surprised once again) by Paige’s closest friends Ree’s parents, David’s parents and grandparents, Paige’s aunts and uncles and all of their siblings.
“Paige was so excited to see her friends, and they all just huddled in a big circle of love and friendship and excitement,” wrote Drummond. “I think Paige was a little choked up, and then I got choked up. Then I looked at my sister Betsy and she got choked up. And then it was a domino effect.”
