Catch Up With the Cast of ‘Mermaids’ and See Where the Stars Ended Up!
Find out which star of the film is no longer an actor...
Fans of 90s cult hit Mermaids were given the royal treatment with this particular cast. Released in 1990 and starring Cher, Winona Ryder and Michael Schoeffling, the Mermaids cast is star-studded and most definitely worth the watch.
When Mrs. Flax (Cher) and her daughters (Ryder and Ricci) move — yet again — to a new town, the girls hope that they’ll finally be able to settle down, but when Charlotte begins to fall for a younger guy (Schoeffling), it feels like the past is repeating itself. In the end, the family has to learn to accept each other for who they are.
Pulling in a few classic celebrities for this film created an exciting watch. Audiences and critics agreed, with film critic Roger Ebert writing, “I found this an interesting movie… sometimes we simply sit there in the dark, stupefied by the spectacle.”
