While Ry’s condition progresses, her mother learns of her relationship with Julian, whose family owns the docks around the island that stand in the way of her mother’s deal. Soon enough, the summer of her dreams becomes far more difficult than she thought it’d be.

“She’s perfect. I love her. She’s incredibly smart and beautiful and sweet and generous with her knowledge, and so inspiring. I look up to her, obviously, for a wide plethora of reasons. It was really special to get to learn from her and to firsthand witness how she commands a room and how she commands a set. I feel like I learned a lot from her.”
Longoria shared a similar sentiment when talking about Reficco, telling Teen Vogue, “She is the coolest chick and has such a bright future ahead of her. I loved watching her be the star that she is, and it was beautiful to be on set with her. The entire cast was so sweet.
