This 83-Year-Old Visited a Police Station for the Most TOUCHING Reason

Mary, an Arvada, CO, senior, didn’t need help from cops when she marched into a local station on Labor Day. But she did have a very important request: She wanted to hug an officer.
Upset that people aren’t properly thanking those who serve the public, she wanted to make sure area police officers know she appreciates their efforts and sacrifices.
“It’s so simple, to be human,” she told Fox31 Denver. “What has happened to civilization?”
When she arrived at the station, she picked up the phone by the entrance and explained why she was there. A minute later, a policeman came out. And the moment he did, Mary embraced him.
“That police officer that I hugged was some mother’s baby boy.”
Though she’s uncomfortable with all the attention her simple gesture has garnered, she does want everyone to remember one thing: “All lives matter.”
