Meghan Markle Paired a Recent Maternity Outfit With a Sentimental Pair of Shoes
It’s impossible to deny how excited we are about the latest royal pregnancy announcement from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Even though the news came just five months after their wedding, rumors had already been swirling around the couple for weeks. Obviously, royal fans are just very anxious to see what they’ll be like as parents. To be fair, after watching them interact with children at several of their official engagements, it’s no wonder most of us think Harry and Meghan are going to make an amazing team with their newest titles: mom and dad.
Although it will still be awhile before we all get to meet the new royal baby, we can’t help but be impressed by Meghan’s impeccable maternity outfits — especially as we watch her baby bump grow! Of course, the former TV star has always been known for her chic style, so it makes sense she’d continue to go for the classiest choices. Meghan has even added more of Princess Diana’s jewelry to her accessory rotation to keep Harry’s mom close to both their hearts as they start their own family. Take a look below to see the amazing outfits Meghan chose for her recent events!
Visiting London’s National Theatre (January 30, 2019)
The duchess kept things simple with her blush-colored Brandon Maxwell dress and blazer while visiting school children at the theater, which is one of her patronages. It’s obviously fitting for the former actress to offer her help and guidance to young thespians. Meghan also paired her outfit that day with two very special accessories: her growing bump and the same Aquazzura heels she wore for the photo call announcing her engagement to Prince Harry back in 2017.

Princess Eugenie's Wedding (October 12, 2018)
When it came to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Princess Eugenie's wedding, the couple didn't want to overshadow the events of the day. However, royal fans were still buzzing about a potential bun in the oven when they got a glimpse of Meghan in this modest navy blue dress. The Givenchy coat-dress was buttoned just above her midriff, leaving many to wonder if it was hiding a bump. Even the way Harry is bent over in this photo while talking to the Queen makes it seem like they might be discussing the upcoming royal baby.
Of course, now we know those suspicions were absolutely correct!

Arriving in Australia (October 15, 2018)
Before making the official announcement, Meghan tried to keep coy about her budding baby bump by holding two large purple binders in front of her as the couple arrived in Australia.
This is a practice often used in Meghan's Hollywood past, too, when television actresses need to conceal real life pregnancies that don't fit with their fictional character's story line. Despite her sneaky attempt, it only made fans all the more sure Harry and Meghan would announce baby news soon.

Meeting Australia's Governor General (October 15, 2018)
Peter Cosgrove, the governor general of Australia, and his wife Lynne probably had to work fast to get this adorable stuffed animal kangaroo for the parents-to-be after the news was confirmed! As the first official gift for Harry and Meghan's baby, you can't get much cuter than a mama kangaroo carrying around a little baby in her pouch.
Meghan wore a simple white dress by Australian designer Karen Gee for the meet and greet. According to Harper's Bazaar, the dress was such an instant hit with fans that it crashed the designer's website.

Reception at Admiralty House (October 16, 2018)
At the end of their first day of the tour, Meghan decided to switch things up with a forest-green dress by designer Brandon Maxwell. She got the chance to meet Australian singer Missy Higgins, who brought her own bundle of joy along to the event.
According to Daily Mail, Higgins also hinted that Meghan revealed she was four months pregnant and expecting the baby in April — which would mean the arrival could happen in the same month as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Louis' birthday!
-
Arriving at Dubbo Airport (October 17, 2018)
The duke and duchess both kept things casual when they arrived on the second day of their royal tour of Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga, and New Zealand. Meghan topped her black skinny jeans and white Maison Kitsuné button-up with an oversized blazer from one of her best friend's fashion lines, the Serena Williams Collection. She completed the look with a simple pair of J. Crew boots.
-
Visiting a Farming Family (October 17, 2018)
During their second day in Australia, Meghan ditched the Serena Williams coat while walking around the Woodley family's farm. Before she and Harry chipped in to help with some of the farming chores, Meghan provided home-baked banana bread for everyone to enjoy.
One of the biggest problems at the farm was the two-year-long drought plaguing the area — but that was about to change.

Visiting the Clontarf Foundation and Girls Academy (October 17, 2018)
Meghan's chic coat came back on just in time for the unexpected rainstorm that rolled over the area! You can tell just how wonderfully surprising the rain clouds were for the royals and locals alike. While we can't say it was Harry and Meghan's presence that brought the drops down, we think it has to be a sign of good luck for their little one, too.
Even in these latest photographs, you might be asking yourself, "Is Meghan Markle really pregnant?" That's because the royals tend to make it impossible to know just how far along they really are. Still, we can totally see Meghan's bump growing a little more with each passing day.

Meeting With the Australian Prime Minister (October 19, 2018)
After spending a day at the beach, Meghan and Harry changed into more formal attire to meet with the Prime Minister of Australia, Scott Morrison, at Kirribilli House in Sydney. Meghan chose another elegant navy blue dress, this time by Roksanda. It's clear the duchess is embracing her affection for the land down under with each of her fabulous fashion choices along the royal couple's trip!
-
Visiting Bondi Beach (October 19, 2018)
We finally got a better peek at Meghan's growing bump when she arrived at Bondi Beach wearing this beautiful sundress by Australian designer Martin Grant. She and Harry spent their time chatting with members of OneWave, a Sydney-based surfing group that works with mental health issues. Among the festive flower necklaces and other gifts, the Daily Mirror reports that Meghan was also given a bouquet of carrots from a well-wisher at this stop of the tour.

-
Visiting Kingfisher Bay (October 22, 2018)
Meghan is clearly feeling protective of her growing baby bump as her hands constantly hover over her midsection at events. The duchess chose a lightweight, sheer dress from eco-friendly fashion brand Reformation. Known as the "Pineapple" dress, it has (of course!) already sold out on the company's website. Meghan completed the casual outfit with a pair of modest sandals as she and hubby Harry walked around the area meeting fans.
-
Arriving in Fiji (October 23, 2018)
On their first day in Fiji, Meghan wore a modest white dress by Australian designer Zimmermann and matching fascinator. Harry looked positively proud of his wife as she received a necklace from Sarote Faga Konrote, the wife of President Jioji Konrote.
-
Attending State Dinner in Fiji (October 23, 2018)
This stunning cape dress from London designer Safiyaa showed off how fast Meghan's baby bump has been growing over just a few days. Even though it's still a bit too early for Harry and Meghan to know whether they are expecting a little boy or girl in the spring, we can't help but feel like the amount of blue the duchess chooses for her outfits point toward the couple having a son! Or perhaps they're just trying to throw us off the scent after Harry revealed he's hoping for a girl. Either way, Meghan looked absolutely beautiful, as usual.

-
Visiting the Markets for Change (October 24, 2018)
The duchess embraced her festive side with this beautiful pink wrap dress from Figue, but her visit to the market in Suva, Fiji, was cut short due to security risks. According to a report from E! News, Meghan was only able to stay for about six minutes before being whisked away. We're so glad to know she's surrounded by people who are really looking out for her and her royal bump!
-
Arriving in Tonga (October 25, 2018)
Meghan turned plenty of heads when she accidentally left the price tag in her lovely red dress by Self-Portrait. Of course, who hasn't made a silly mistake like that every now and then? It only goes to prove once again how relatable she is despite being a duchess. Besides, we're too distracted by how sweet she looks gazing up at hubby Harry!
-
Attending a State Dinner in Tonga (October 25, 2018)
Meghan and Harry gave us flashbacks to their royal wedding when they strolled up to the royal residence of King Tupou IV and Queen Nanasipau'u Tuku'aho on their first day in Tonga. Her dress was designed by THEIA, a brand inspired by the Greek goddess of the same name.

-
Receiving Traditional Handicrafts in Tonga (October 26, 2018)
The chunky necklaces and garlands around their waist might not be what we're used to seeing the royal couple wear, but you have to admit they still look adorable! Meghan opted for another Martin Grant design for her dress underneath, similar to the dress she wore to Bondi beach by the same designer.
-
Meeting the King and Queen of Tonga (October 26, 2018)
Meghan certainly is a fan of the color blue, isn't she? And you can just make out her bump sitting under the tied belt on her dress as she greeted King Tupou IV and Queen Nanasipau'u Tuku'aho in Tonga.
-
Arriving in Wellington (October 28, 2018)
The windy weather helped us get a better look at Meghan's growing bump as she and Harry arrived at the Wellington airport in New Zealand. The duchess chose her most affordable maternity outfit so far from ASOS. Although the maternity version of the dress sold out fast, of course, the non-maternity style is still in stock. You can also get her trench coat from Karen Walker, though her delightful plaid style choice is also sold out.

Meeting With New Zealand's Prime Minister (October 28, 2018)
After arriving in Wellington, Meghan and Harry met with New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. Meghan paired her beautiful black gown by Gabriela Hearst with jewelry featuring traditional Māori designs as a nod of appreciation to the native community of the island.
-
Visiting Marenui Cafe (October 29, 2018)
It's a bit difficult to see Meghan's bump growing under the gray Club Monaco coat and black turtleneck she wore to the Wellington cafe, but her maternal instinct still shined bright as she comforted a young boy who got a bit overwhelmed about meeting the duke and duchess.
-
Visiting Courtenay Creative (October 29, 2018)
Harry and Meghan were probably feeling the Halloween spirit as they met with models wearing the work of local filmmakers, sculptors, and costume designers. Meghan also turned more than a few heads with her white tuxedo dress by New Zealand designer Maggie Marilyn.

-
Arriving in Auckland (October 30, 2018)
Have you noticed Meghan can't seem to stop cradling her bump as it grows bigger? The snug Brandon Maxwell dress she wore to meet with Auckland residents made it even more obvious! She clearly can't wait to hold her bundle of joy in her arms this spring.
-
Visiting the North Shore (October 30, 2018)
Meghan went more casual while visiting the Queen's Commonweath Canopy, opting for some sturdy rain boots while pitching in to do a bit of yard work. Interestingly enough, though, the boots are from the Original Muck Boot Company and the style is called "Reign."
-
Reception at Auckland War Memorial Museum (October 30, 2018)
Does this classic navy blue dress by designer Antonio Berardi look familiar? If so, you've definitely been keeping a close eye on Meghan and Harry's romance! Before they officially confirmed their relationship, Meghan showed up to support Harry at the Audi Polo Challenge in May 2017 — and she was wearing this very same dress. Meghan brought it back for this reception in Auckland, which was hosted by Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand.

-
Receiving Traditional Māori Cloaks (October 31, 2018)
It might be difficult to see Meghan's growing bump (and modest Stella McCartney dress) underneath the traditional Māori cloak, but the woven tapestry has a powerful meaning behind it. Both she and Harry were given what is known as a Korowai, which is a protection cloak. According to media sources, a chieftess from Rotorua gifted it to the couple to help keep their little one safe from any harm.
-
Greeting Residents of Rotorua (October 31, 2018)
Although some headlines claimed that Meghan suffered an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction, this was merely an optical illusion from the sun's rays that caused her Givenchy skirt to appear see-through. Besides, all we cared about was how sweet the duchess' reaction was to a young girl who broke through the barricade to give her a hug!
-
Visiting the Redwoods Treewalk (October 31, 2018)
Meghan borrowed Harry's jacket for one of their final appearances on the royal tour. You might remember seeing him wear it while visiting the Abel Tasman National Park (to refresh your memory, it was the day he adorably referred to the couple's growing baby as their "little bump.")
This was the last day of Harry and Meghan's official trip "down under." The pair were scheduled to appear at a total of 16 royal engagements throughout their tour, and we've loved seeing how the mom-to-be dressed for each one — and all the love on display between her and Prince Harry, too.

Attending the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance (November 10, 2018)
The royal family gathered together at the Royal Albert Hall for the first of their events honoring veterans over the Remembrance Day weekend. Meghan returned to one of her favorite designers with this Stella McCartney wrap dress. The chic outfit featured a large bow tied right around the duchess' bump — which, of course, only makes us notice how much it's grown.
-
Attending Remembrance Sunday Ceremony (November 11, 2018)
Many were curious why Meghan was standing so far apart from her royal in-laws during this somber ceremony, but People reports that it simply had to do with the balcony not being quite big enough for her to join Queen Elizbath, Camilla, and Kate.
Instead, she stood with Elke Budenbender, the wife of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Meghan, who wore a demure black coat dress and matching hat, also seemed to be visibly moved while watching husband Harry lay down wreaths in honor of fallen soldiers.
-
Attending the Centenary of the Armistice Service (November 11, 2018)
Meghan and Harry joined the rest of the royal family several times over the weekend of November 10 to 11 to honor veterans and commemorate the 100th anniversary of World War I ending. This was Meghan's first time attending the annual events with her new in-laws. For the Sunday night service at Westminster Abbey, Meghan pinned her poppies (worn in tribute to the fallen troops) onto a classic peacoat-dress design that gave us a pretty good peek at the growing bump underneath.

Leaving for Prince Charles' 70th Birthday Party (November 14, 2018)
Both Meghan and Kate kept their outfits for their father-in-law's big celebration fairly under wraps. Although we were able to see a peek of pink from Kate's gown, Meghan's was completely shielded in these photos of her leaving Kensington Palace to attend the shindig that night. What we could see, however, were a gorgeous pair of sparkly earrings dangling underneath her loose updo. We can also see Harry sporting a swanky tuxedo — only the best for papa Charles!
-
Attending the Royal Variety Performance (November 19, 2018)
For her first ever attendance at a Royal Variety Performance, Meghan paired a sequined black halter by designer Safiyaa with a floor-length black skirt for a truly stunning overall look. The event dates back to 1912 and raises funds for the Royal Variety Charity, a foundation that supports members of the entertainment industry who are sick, impoverished, or elderly. A senior member of the royal family attends each year, with Harry and Meghan taking the reserved balcony seats this time around.

Visiting the Hubb Community Kitchen (November 21, 2018)
In the short amount of time since the release of Together: Our Community Cookbook ($11.40, Amazon) in September, it sold over 70,000 copies between the United Kingdom and United States. With more than 50 recipes from local women in the community affected by the Grenfell Tower fire (which is known as the worst UK residential fire since World War II), they have achieved the goal of being able to provide food for those in need in the area every day of the week rather than just twice a week. According to a report from Harper's Bazaar, Meghan surprised the kitchen volunteers when she arrived in her beautiful burgundy Club Monaco coat on Novebmer 21. She even wrapped her growing bump in an apron to help prepare 250 meals to distribute that evening.

Meeting With the Association of Commonwealth Universities (December 6, 2018)
After announcing two new Gender Grants at the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) back in October 2018, the duchess met with ACU members at King's College in London. The grants will fund new learning initiatives aimed at empowering female university staff and promoting gender equality at the University of the South Pacific and Fiji National University. Although her bump happened to be hidden in these photos from the official Kensington Palace Instagram page, photos of Meghan and Harry stepping out to attend a charity Christmas carol that same day had everyone buzzing about how much her little bundle has grown — and even predicting there might be a pair of royal twins.

Surprise Appearance at the British Fashion Awards (December 10, 2018)
It's certainly not hard to spot Meghan's bump in the beautiful black Givenchy dress she wore for her surprise appearance at the British Fashion Awards! Even if she wasn't so fond of cradling her belly in a precious and protecting manner, it's clear that the next royal baby is growing strong. We bet she and Harry can even feel it kick every now and then! Meghan's attendance at the award show came as a shock to everyone who greeted her with roaring applause. Of course, Meghan was all class and smiles as she bestowed the honor of British Womenswear Designer of the Year to Clare Waight Keller, the artistic director of Givenchy. The duchess, who became close with the designer while she worked on Meghan's chic wedding dress, couldn't help but fawn over Keller's "incredible kindness" as she presented her with the award.

Visiting the Royal Variety Charity Nursing Home (December 18, 2018)
Meghan and her growing bump shared some holiday cheer on a visit to the residents of the Royal Variety Charity nursing home. While there, she reportedly joked about feeling "very pregnant," according to Daily Mail. Meghan and Harry recently attended the Royal Variety performance which gathers famous faces to help raise funds for the charity. The duchess looked lovely in her floral dress from the Brock Collection and kept cozy outside with a wool coat by Soia & Kyo.
