Queen Elizabeth is notoriously a huge fan of dogs, especially corgis, but she’s not the only royal with a soft spot for our four-legged friends. After all, who can deny how much warmer a home feels with a pooch or two wandering around and snuggling up to you — even if that home happens to be a castle.
And it’s not just their own pups who have melted the royal family’s hearts over the years, starting all the way back when Elizabeth was a young girl. Whether it’s the queen or little Princess Charlotte, each royal seems all too happy to meet any new canines that cross their paths while they’re out and about. Of course, we feel exactly the same way! Dogs are just too darn cute to ignore.
Scroll down to see some of the most adorable times that members of the royal family have cuddled a pooch. Who knows, you might just come across a photo of a dog that looks exactly like your own family pet!

It's hard to say which is more precious: the joyful look on young Prince Harry's face, or the petite pooch sitting on Diana's lap! Either way, it adds up to being one of the cutest photos of the whole family.
-
We don't usually get to see such a goofy side of the royals, especially back when the princes were still so young! It's just too bad we don't have video of this moment, too.
