If you’re already sick of the sweaty, sticky discomfort the sweltering heat of summer has brought upon thus far, Heroes & Icons network has you covered over the upcoming holiday weekend if all you’re looking to do is take a break from the heat and relax indoors. This 4th of July weekend, starting on July 3, the Heroes & Icons Network presents for the third time their annual “Rod, White & Blue” lineup, a weekend packed to the brim with episodes of Rod Serling’s The Twilight Zone. Here, keep reading to find out when and how you can catch this thrilling marathon.
All About ‘Rod White & Blue: A Twilight Zone Celebration’
Over the course of four days, Twilight Zone fans can get their fix as Heroes & Icons honors the mastermind behind the iconic series. The mysterious, suspenseful, science-fiction show debuted in 1959 and lasted for a total of five seasons. Often tying in an element of social commentary, it’s no surprise that this series has stood the test of time. The first episode of this marathon will premiere on July 3 at 6 a.m., continuing until Monday, July 7, at 6 a.m. Though this tradition has been going strong for three years on the Heroes & Icons Network, it first kicked off on the DECADES Network, now known as Catchy Comedy, where it garnered a loyal following during its five-year run.

What episodes of ‘The Twilight Zone’ will be part of this lineup?
With over 150 episodes, viewers will be sure to catch at least one of their favorites! If you’re looking to see one of the countless famous guest stars who made an appearance on the show over the years, you’re in luck! See familiar faces like William Shatner in “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet,” airing on Thursday, July 3, at 7 p.m. Remember Robert Redford’s appearance on the show? Catch him in “Nothing in the Dark,” airing on July 4 at 10:00 p.m. And that’s certainly far from all!
Fan favorite episodes like “Living Doll” and “Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up” are just a few lining these exciting four days of fun, and the fun doesn’t end there! Peppered in amongst the marathon, mostly during the wee hours of the morning, are episodes of The New Twilight Zone. This 1980s revival of the original series followed a similar format to that it took inspiration from.

Are there other ‘Twilight Zone’ revivals?
In addition to the 1980s version, there was another revival that hit screens in 2019, co-created by Jordan Peele, who has been building his horror credentials with films like Get Out (2017), Us (2019) and more. The show lasted for two seasons and featured familiar faces like Adam Scott, Ginnifer Goodwin, Topher Grace and countless others.
