Krispy Kreme unveils Thanksgiving doughnuts
Krispy Kreme is no stranger to themed collaborations or festive treats. On November 7, the company announced its latest flavor options—right in time for Thanksgiving! A press release states these doughnuts put a “new, sweet spin on a holiday tradition.”
“There’s nothing more meaningful and traditional than spending time around the table with those we love this time of year,” said Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme in the press release. “Our new Thanksgiving Pies Doughnut Collection was created with that in mind to help bring people together and sweeten the season of sharing joy and gratitude.”
The holiday’s favorite pies inspired the collection and are available from November 7 until Thanksgiving.
Krispy Kreme’s Thanksgiving Doughnut flavors
What would Thanksgiving be without pie, or in this case, pie-inspired doughnuts? Krispy Kreme has previously made Thanksgiving-themed doughnuts featuring more traditional flavors, including apple, cranberry, and pecan, but this year, their flavor game is a bit different.
The new Thanksgiving doughnut flavors include:
- Chocolate Silk Pie Doughnut: This is an original Glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing, topped with chocolate buttercream and chocolate curls.
- Lemon Creme Pie Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut filled with lemon pie filling, dipped in lemon yellow icing and graham crunch, topped with a meringue buttercream dollop.
- Blueberry Crisp Doughnut: This flavor is an unglazed shell doughnut with blueberry filling, dipped in blueberry icing, and topped with streusel.
- Apple Crumble Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut filled with apple pie filling topped with pie crust buttercream and cinnamon cookie crumb topping.

Fan reactions to the new Krispy Kreme Thanksgiving doughnuts
Krispy Kreme took to Instagram to share the news, and fans seem thrilled about the specialty flavors.“Can’t wait to try them all,” one person commented.
Another person looking forward to the doughnuts wrote, “They all look delicious.”
People are also grateful that the brand didn’t skip over Thanksgiving, but some were upset that there were no pumpkin flavors to pick from this year.
In a reel following the announcement, Krispy Kreme shares the process of making the new flavors, and more people were upset about a lemon flavor than something more holiday-themed.
“I love y’all and all BUT LEMON?!! OVER PUMPKIN IS DIABOLICAL y’all villains fr,” someone wrote.
Another person wrote, “Yall should’ve had a pumpkin pie donut though cmon !”
Many viewers are still looking forward to trying the Thanksgiving-themed treats, though.
