In May 2025, Pringles will release a new flavor of their classic crisps—beer can chicken—in collaboration with Miller Lite.

If you’ve never heard of the dish, beer can chicken is exactly what it sounds like. The recipe involves placing a half-filled can of beer into the cavity of a whole chicken.

The origins of beer-can chicken are unclear, but it’s widely associated with Southern cuisine.

Social media snack aficionado ‘The Snackolator’ shared Kellanova’s (formerly the Kellogg Company) statement about the forthcoming flavor of Pringles in a recent post.

“Fire up your tastebuds with a crispy hoppy aroma and roasted chicken flavor. The best of your grill sesh in a new, snackable LTO,” read the Kellanova announcement.

Pringles has yet to reveal exactly how eager chip lovers can get their hands on a sleeve of the beer-can chicken Pringles, but customers can expect to find the collaboration at their local grocery store for a limited time starting in May.

Pringles isn’t the first brand to release beer-flavored chips

Though beer might be an unexpected flavor profile for a snack food, 2025’s beer can chicken Pringles are not the first alcohol-inspired chip.

London-based crisp company Burts Snacks released a Guinness-flavored thick-cut potato chip back in 2013.

Similar to the anticipated Miller Light and Pringles collaboration, these Guinness chips do not contain alcohol. However, thanks to the hard work of flavor technologists, the company developed a crunchy, savory way to enjoy the taste of the classic Irish stout.

For those outside of the U.K. interested in trying this avant-garde chip flavor, bags of Burts Guinness chips (or crisps) are available for shipping.

Beer can chicken isn’t Pringles’ first wild flavor collaboration and it surely won’t be its last. In fact, the company has several funky new flavors planned for 2025.

According to the Kellanova website, forthcoming releases include Pringles Chili Cheese Fries, Pringles Hot Honey and Pringles Everything Bagel.

The company also teases collaborations with the hit interview series Hot Ones saying, “Limited-edition Pringles x Hot Ones packs the fiery burn of internet sensation Hot Ones in every bite.”

The Pringles x Hot Ones packs will be available in Los Calientes Rojo and Los Calientes Verdes sauce flavors.

Pringles Mingles are also a new treat customers can look forward to this year.

“A light and crispy outside with a melt-in-your-mouth inside creates a new craveable snacking experience with insanely good flavor mashups,” reads the product’s longline.
