All the Winners from the American Rescue Dog Show Get First Place in Our Hearts

After Sugar and her three one-week old puppies were given to a shelter in Riverside, CA, The Furgotten was able to place her and her brood in a foster home. After the little ones were placed in their forever homes, Sugar found Kimberly, her current owner. A clear lover of affection, word has it she is quite the flirt! 

Spencer, adopted by the Afghan Rescue Hound, was rescued from all the way in Korea! As his title dictates, Spencer loves to snuggle up on the couch with his human mama, Helen.  

Ever since Daisy was rescued by MaeDay Rescue in Los Angeles and then adopted by her current owner, Heidi, people can't stop commenting on her ears! Apparently, they can work together in unison or on their own, as though each ear is listening to something different!

This old boy is alive and well. According to his owner, Tye, Goliath slowly began eating again when he was adopted, and this was the first dog he's ever seen to age in reverse during his recovery! Tye says, standing on his hind legs, Goliath is taller than any human he's encountered (so far!).

Faith was rescued by an organization called I Stand With My Pack in Culver City, CA. Faith's owner, Kyle, loves waking up to Faith’s ferocious snores, which start out light and then go deeper and deeper until — get this — her lips start flapping! How adorable. 

Champion might be missing a leg, but he makes up for it in pure love. Champion is an adventurer at heart and has been camping four times already with his owner, Dana, and their family. 

Blessed with the gift of gab, Maximus was rescued by The Ranch Rescue Team in Southern California and found his owner Stefanie when she was in recovery. According to her, Maximus is everyone's friend, but his best friend is a cat!

Ravioli was rescued by Animal Care Centers of NYC in New York, and his human father, Carlos, knew he was the one immediately after seeing his photo online. When walking him, Carlos will often hear "are those teeth real?" as this pup's underbite is certainly noteworthy. Ravioli's got quite a beard, too. Fun fact: He loves to get his hair blown out!

In what we think is probably the cutest category, Maizy took home the award for best wiggler. Why? Her owner, Karen, has noticed Maizy adopt a body wiggle whenever she comes home and Maizy gets excited to see her. Over time, she says, "that small wiggle kept getting bigger and bolder until it has now become a whole-body event that eventually turns into circles!" 

Despite the adorable mug on this pups face, big-rig and his brother were given up at just five weeks old because they were born with cleft palates and could not be easily sold. However, his owner, Francoise, saw a picture of him on Instagram and knew she could bring him into her family of pups. According to her, big-rig is "a lot of energy in a small, wrinkly body."
