If your TikTok feed has started to look like a sparkling mosaic of tiny enamel treasures, you’re not imagining things—Disney pin trading is having a major moment. Like many beloved park traditions, the release of the 2026 Hidden Mickey Wave A pins is drawing in a new wave of fans eager to experience the thrill of the hunt, while longtime collectors are jumping back in with renewed excitement. From bustling stores along Main Street to tucked-away kiosks and iconic trading boards, fans are scouring Walt Disney World and Disneyland for the newest releases.

Part of the appeal lies in the details: these small-but-mighty pins are known for their subtle Hidden Mickey designs and the challenge of completing a full set, making them especially coveted among collectors. Ahead, we break down what makes this latest wave so special—and share insider tips and tricks from seasoned traders to help you start (or level up) your own collection.

What to know about the new 2026 Hidden Mickey Wave A pins

Every year, Disney releases its Hidden Mickey pin series—and this year, collectors are in a frenzy. The 2026 collection features 37 brand-new pins inspired by characters, with both Disney World and Disneyland offering their own exclusive sets.

Within the collection, there are six fun themes: Mickey ear shapes, castles, cupcakes, hexagons, buses and Chip or Dale celebrating different holidays. Within each theme, you’ll find special “chaser” pins that are harder to track down than the regular releases.

But the real prize? The “Super Chaser”—the rarest pin in the entire collection. This year’s Super Chaser is a stunning pair of Mickey ears, and it’s proving nearly impossible to find.

Tips for finding the best pins

One way people are finding the Super Chaser—and other pins? By simply buying and opening a bag. You see, the pins come in sets of two inside a sealed bag, then once you open it you can either keep the pins and add them to your collection or trade them, which is what most people do if they get a duplicate.

Disney fan Caitlin Slater actually recommends seeking out trades, especially if you’re new to pin collecting, since it takes some of the stress and anxiety out of the process.

“My biggest tip for new collectors or traders would be to start with the mystery sets, like the Hidden Mickeys, to build up your traders,” she tells Woman’s World. “Then choose one or two pins that you truly love. I think it’s more fun to be on the hunt for certain pin sets or characters.”

Slater also notes that once the trading begins, so does the fun!

“For me, the collecting journey has been more about the community I’ve built rather than the pins themselves. It’s so fun to meet and trade with other collectors who love it just as much as I do,” Slater explains. “We all try to help each other out to finish sets or find pins that we need. I’ve made amazing friends through pin trading!”

How to make the most out of the 2026 Hidden Mickey Wave A pin collection

When it comes to collecting, there are several things you can do aside from trading. Disney lover Myriam Estrella recommends “getting your pins from different locations to ensure you have a nice variety in your mystery packs.”

“I also recommend trying to get pins from behind the counter where a Cast Member chooses them for you,” she continued. “More importantly, have fun! This is supposed to be a fun activity, and you absolutely don’t have to collect every pin under the sun. Many people just focus on the characters or specific pins they truly like.”

How to get the 2026 Hidden Mickey Wave A pins

Currently, the Hidden Mickey Wave A pins are available for purchase at the parks. There is a chance you could find a spare one to trade at the Disney store nearest you, but that is really going to depend on if anyone there has any and is willing to trade with you.
