Remember the McCaugheys, the First Surviving Septuplets? This Picture of Them Today Is Turning Heads Across the Country
When Bobbi McCaughey gave birth to the first set of surviving septuplets, in November 1997, she and husband Kenny became world famous. Reporters from TV and magazines made a beeline to their door in Iowa for interviews and photo ops with the seven babies. The family made the cover of Time magazine and was featured on the Today show and Dateline (though the couple turned down offers to star in a reality show). They received donations–everything from diapers to a house–from neighbors and strangers. The kids even were offered college scholarships to any state university in Iowa.
That last one is going to come in handy, since the McCaughey kids are now 18–and just graduated from high school this past weekend. Take a look!
Mind blown!
