You may have thought Great Wolf Lodge was just for kids, but it turns out the indoor water park resort is a must-visit destination for some adults-only fun this Valentine’s Day! Great Wolf Lodge is transforming three of its locations into an unexpected romantic escape.

Their “Romance on the River” package turns the waterpark into a no-kids-allowed night of gourmet dining, champagne and pure indulgence. It’s available only on Valentine’s Day (a Saturday this year!), in Scottsdale, Arizona, the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania, and Webster, Texas, and it’s an unforgettable experience unlike any you’ve encountered before!

After a day of fun in the waterpark, leave the kids in your room with a babysitter, then get ready for fine dining. The romantic evening starts with a gourmet five-course meal served in private poolside cabanas in the waterpark after hours. With the park dimly lit and heated to a steamy 84 degrees and festive Valentine’s Day decorations creating a romantic atmosphere, it’s a unique way to celebrate your love!

The experience, priced at $299 per couple ($399 with wine pairings), includes a menu of mouthwatering foods you’d never expect at an indoor waterpark, such as:

  • Selection of hors d’ouevres including smoked salmon rosettes and King crab ceviche
  • Cucumber wrapped greens with edible flowers that’s almost too pretty to eat
  • Butter poached lobster with tagliolini pasta, crispy pancetta and green peas in a rich Chardonnay butter sauce
  • Pan-seared day boat scallops with brown butter and velvety cauliflower velouté
  • Braised Wagyu short rib in a port wine reduction with a potato puree and caramelized cipollini onions

Once dinner wraps, you and your date can drift along the lazy winding river, which is filled with rose petals and floating flickering candles, while a string musician serenades you and servers offer up flutes of champagne and bite-sized sweet treats, including:

  • Fresh strawberries and mascarpone with basil and a balsamic drizzle
  • Citrus olive oil cake bites with raspberry and orange Chantilly cream
  • Valrhona chocolate tart with salted honey and poached pair.

A cozy Valentine’s Day with the whole family, too!

Prefer to celebrate Valentine’s Day with the kids? No worries! The Pocono Mountains Great Wolf Lodge has the perfect solution! Their whimsical Snow Globe Chalets (a quick but chilly walk outside just feet from the waterpark) are decorated to look like an Alpine winter wonderland, featuring a cozy aprés-ski design (think cozy blankets, board games, candles, music and a roaring fireplace).

Each heated chalet has room for six guests and includes a luxe robe and slippers for everyone, complimentary mugs of hot chocolate with fun mix-ins and a s’mores kit complete with melted chocolate and marshmallows and a selection of dippers, like pound cake squares, mini brownies, fresh strawberries, graham crackers and more. You can also order more treats, cocktails and more from a special menu.
