Start your visit by touring the Boulder City/Hoover Dam Museum, located in the historic Boulder Dam Hotel. Learn about the building of the dam and its impact on the community via interactive exhibits that feature displays and artifacts.

Next, swing by the Southwest Diner for a delicious lunch. Try their Southwest fiesta salad, homemade chicken-salad sandwich or sample some of the local flavors like the Boulder burrito or chili relleno breakfast casserole.

As dusk approaches, head over to Veterans Memorial Park. Not only does the park boast a plethora of amenities like bike trails and horseshoe pits, it also offers a breathtaking view of the sunset.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 12 cup almond liqueur
  • 12 cup triple sec
  • 1 (750 ml.) btle. champagne, chilled

In a large measuring cup with a pouring spout, stir together the first 3 ingredients. Cover and chill. Before serving, divide among 8 champagne flutes and top off with champagne.
