Kleptomaniac Cat Amasses Treasures, Police Officer Owner Does Something Beautiful with Them

When residents of Gladstone, Oregon notice that something’s gone missing—a shoe, a child’s toy, even a bag of marijuana—the prime suspect is usually none other than an adventurous neighborhood pet.

Tigger the cat, who has now become known to locals as the “Kleptokitty,” has a habit of bringing the most unusual trash and treasures back to the yard of his owner, Dave Kempas, a local police sergeant.

“I go in and grab my cup of coffee and walk up to get the newspaper and see what Tigger has brought me today. That’s my morning routine,” Kempas told KATU, who notes that whenever possible, he cleans up the items and donates them to charity.

Which we guess means that this wacky cat could be considered… a philanthropist?
