Old electronics have a way of piling up on us, don’t they? We could probably all do well to sort through some of the old electronics in our basements, attics and storage units. But it’s so easy to let these old electronics fall to the wayside every time spring cleaning rolls around. And thus, they continue to gather dust.
But let us offer you an incentive to immediately get the dusting rag and check out these old electronics: money! Yes, some of the items you haven’t used in years and years could be worth tons of dough today. It may seem crazy, but items that would likely not be practical to use today are going for literally thousands on the market.

Apple II Computer
These models, released from 1977 to 1981, can be a secret ticket to some serious cash. Reportedly, the most valuable is the Rev 0 motherboard model. A 1977 Apple II sold for $6,100 at a 2011 auction on eBay.
Snow White PlayStation 2C. 2001
The thing that makes this 2001 electronic so valuable is the fact that there are so few of them to begin with. Less than 700 units of this version of the Playstation 2 were created for each region. So it makes a little more sense that it would be listed for $780-$1180 at a 2016 auction.
Zenith “Companion” Portable Radio
Believed to be the first portable radio, only 1,000 of these babies were created back in 1924 and 600 were returned. Is it any wonder why one of them sold for $12,000 at an eBay auction in 2014?
Lunar Globe, by Denoyer-Geppert
This 1969-1972 edition was produced to remember the Apollo 10 mission. So it’s definitely not your average globe. And “not your average” in this case means that it can sell for $4,250 at an auction in 2014.
