Dream Job Alert: Travel the World With a Loved One and Get Paid for It

If you’ve ever had the urge to “get away from it all” and travel the world with a loved one, you can now get paid for doing just that. All you have to do is apply for a new travel guide job for the airline WOW air and keep your fingers crossed that you get it.

The Iceland-based airline is looking for two people to fly around the world, visiting 12 of its popular destinations and documenting the travels along the way for a digital guide. The delightful job description includes finding the best food, nature parks, transportation, and cultural hotspots in all the places you go. If you think you take the best pictures or videos in your family, here’s your big chance to show off your skills: You’ll get to snap pictures that frame your travel experience, shoot videos of the highlights of all your trips, and get the unique opportunity to explore any other creative media you’ve been itching to try.

“This is a fun way to encourage people to be spontaneous and creative,” said Erla Bjorgheim Palsdottir, marketing manager of WOW air, in a statement to Good Morning America. “We truly believe that this amazing opportunity will draw some amazing talent our way.”

Even the application seems like fun: To be considered, you need to submit a two-minutes-or-less video guide of your own hometown. This will give the airline’s employees a chance to see what kind of on-screen personality you have, so don’t be shy!

The gig lasts for 10 weeks, beginning on June 1, and the guides will get to stay in each destination for two to four days. They’ll both be paid approximately $4,000 per month, and they’ll also have all their accomodations and activities paid for as they produce content. When they’re not traveling, they’ll be staying in a furnished apartment in downtown Reykjavik, Iceland. Sounds like a perfect way to spend the summer to us — especially if it’s with someone you love.

But if you want this job, you better apply online ASAP, because applications close on May 14. Good luck!
