Just because it’s hot outside doesn’t mean that you have to walk around with messy hair. These easy DIY remedies harness the sun’s heat to rejuvenate strands in a flash — so you’re hair will look amazing despite humidity, chlorine, or whatever summer throws your way.
To restore luster: Help it out with honey.

Mix equal parts honey and warm water in a small spray bottle; shake well and spritz the mixture onto your damp strands before going outside. The sun activates honey’s glucose oxidase, which is a mild bleaching agent that enhances natural highlights to brighten dull locks.
To tame frizz: Calm with coconut oil.

Run a dime-size amount of liquefied coconut oil through your damp strands; then let it air-dry. Fatty acids in coconut oil seal hair’s cuticle to keep the strand-swelling humidity out and lock hair-nourishing vitamins in, while the sun’s heat sets the frizz-free style in place.
To rehydrate: Soothe with strawberry yogurt.

Blend 1/4 cup of yogurt with five strawberries; apply to your damp hair and then relax in the sun for 20 minutes; rinse. Yogurt’s creamy fats condition, strawberries’ vitamins A and C fortify and strengthen strands, and the sun’s heat opens hair’s cuticle for better penetration.
