At 81, Martha Stewart Is Making The Internet Rethink Its Definition of ‘Sexy’

The lifestyle mogul was asked about her steamy selfies on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show.'

On a recent segment of The Drew Barrymore Show, lifestyle mogul Martha Stewart, 81, cooked with host Drew Barrymore and opened up about dating and the steamy selfies she’s been posting on social media. Ever the consummate chef, Stewart shared a recipe for brioche apple bread pudding from her upcoming cooking series, Martha Cooks, which comes out November 16 on Roku.

In between whisking, host Barrymore grilled Stewart about being the “queen of thirst traps” (as she playfully referred to Stewart in an IG caption). In response to Drew’s question, Stewart explained that she posts such photos to “keep the interest alive.” The most famous example of this came last month, when Stewart teamed up with Green Mountain Coffee Roasters to celebrate their fall coffee pods, which were stripped of artificial flavorings; to celebrate, Stewart posted an Instagram video in which she stripped down, wearing nothing but a Greek Mountain apron while sipping coffee and speaking about the product. Watch it below.

On her show this past week, Barrymore pointed out that many women struggle with self-confidence and a critical inner-voice, and asked Stewart how she’s found the courage to put herself out there. “I practiced the day before to see if I looked OK — and I looked good, so…” Stewart replied in her quintessential cavalier manner. (Watch the clip below.) It’s no wonder Stewart is glowing at age 81: she clearly takes good care of herself, telling PEOPLE that to keep in shape, she practices “pilates, exercises, swimming and horseback riding two times a week.” In April, Stewart shared some more tips for staying healthy at any age with Yahoo Life’s The Unwind: “I have my regular checkups; they’re on the calendar at least six months in advance. I eat extremely well. I’m not a vegetarian, but I do eat a lot of good fish and very little meat. I eat fantastic vegetables that I grow myself, and delicious eggs right out of my chicken coop.”

Barrymore additionally asked Stewart some questions about her dating life and preferences — and the businesswoman was a good sport, answering candidly and humorously. “[I’ve been] single for like, 30 years,” she admitted to the audience. “I’m not proud of it. I should’ve married along the way.” In apparent hopes of setting Stewart up with someone, Barrymore discussed what Stewart’s red, yellow, and green “flags” would be in a man. Stewart gave Pete Davidson (28-year-old comedian and ex-boyfriend of celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande) a green flag, delcaring, “he’s sorta cute.” She also dryly praised Davidson’s frequent rotation of women, saying, “He knows how to get in and get out.”
