Aimee Teegarden: From ‘Friday Night Lights’ Starlet to Hallmark Sweetheart

We loved watching her navigate life as Coach Taylor’s young daughter in Friday Night Lights, but today, Aimee Teegarden, the woman who once brought to life teenage Julie Taylor, is forging a path for herself as a certified Hallmark sweetheart.

Before you could find her in the NBC Texas-based football drama, Aimee Teegarden could be seen in various modeling campaigns, as well as in guest-starring roles in series like Cold Case, Hannah Montana and Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. However, it was her role in Friday Night Lights that put her on the map.

“I had no idea what I was really stepping into. That show was just — it’s alchemy,” she told Nylon in 2016. “It’s everything happening when it needs to happen and the right pieces sort of fall together. And Kyle Chandler, I remember, he used to say to us, ‘You kids, you have no idea how good you have it. You have no idea.’ So I think, at the time, we all kind of just really tried to enjoy it as much as possible, and it was just such a special show and it was an amazing time in my life,” she recalled fondly.

After Friday Night Lights, she had roles in series like Aim High, Star-Crossed, Notorious and The Ranch before making her debut on The Hallmark Channel in 2018’s Once Upon a Christmas Miracle.

Over the last few years, she’s continued showing her on-screen prowess in numerous other Hallmark movies, her newest being An Easter Bloom alongside Benjamin Hollingsworth, out March 30 at 8/7c on Hallmark.

Kelly (Aimee Teegarden) is a producer on a morning show who makes a vow to say yes to every social invitation she receives for an entire month. The experiment, which will be broadcasted on the air, takes her to places she never anticipated and gives her the opportunity to have experiences she never thought she’d have — once of them being falling for a handsome businessman.
