Dolly Parton Will Always Love This Classic $5 Drugstore Makeup Remover

Tags:

Can you imagine bumping into Dolly Parton at the drugstore? It may sound impossible, but that’s apparently where the country queen likes to pick up most of her favorite beauty products — including a classic makeup remover she’s relied on for years.

Although she famously leaves her makeup on while she’s sleeping, Parton wipes it off in the morning with Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser (Buy at Walmart, $4.97) before applying a fresh coat. “I’m the kind of person that will still go back to what I’ve used through the years,” she tells us. “Just products that really work, like some old-name brands like Pond’s. Their cleansing cream is my favorite.”

Some folks out there might be surprised to learn a lady who’s known for such flashy looks relies on budget-friendly products, but fans know Parton has always maintained her simple roots despite her over-the-top appearance. In fact, a lot of the makeup she uses costs under $10. She also has go-to beauty tip that’s totally free: Washing her hair in rain water to keep it soft and silky!

“I’m not one to spend tons of money just because of a big name,” she says. “I’ve liked products all through the years and I kind of stick with them. I’m always trying different things, but I tend to go back to the old faithful stuff.”

Parton also told us she likes to keep her skin hydrated with another classic product: Oil of Olay’s Daily Moisturizer (Buy at Walmart, $6.94). She may be famous for saying, “It costs a lot of money to look this cheap,” but that’s clearly not the case for the items in her cosmetic bag.

Of course, the chances of us ever seeing Parton makeup-free or without a wig are slim to none — but we just love getting these glimpses into her beauty routine!
