Dolly Parton’s Look-Alike Sister Stella Is Showing Off Her Cooking Chops Across the Pond
Dolly Parton fans know that the legendary singer comes from a big, beautiful family — including her lovely younger sister, Stella Parton. One of 12 siblings that includes Dolly, Stella Parton is a country singer in her own right, who mostly devotes her time to performing and raising awareness of issues such as domestic violence. But 69-year-old Stella’s latest hobby is showing off the Parton family cooking skills on camera — while reminding us so much of Dolly along the way.
Stella Parton is set to appear on the UK show Celebrity MasterChef on September 13 and 14. But prior to the episodes, she was spotted cooking some other tasty dishes at the recently renovated Panier Market in Plymouth, England. She learned how to prepare Thai food, how to create a homemade pizza, and how to make her own sushi. While it was certainly fun to get a preview of the home cook’s impressive skills, it was also a delight to see how much she still takes after her older sis.

Stella is clearly enjoying her adventures around England, especially when they have a culinary focus. We have a hunch that she’s spreading the word about all the Parton family recipes while she’s there.

Considering how much the Parton family loves cooking, we think it’d be pretty amazing to see Stella and Dolly collaborate on a culinary project together.

In a recent interview with Express, Stella admitted that Dolly was always more extroverted than she was. But don’t mistake Stella for a wallflower — or someone who still hasn’t found herself.
Stella told Express: “From my 20s onwards, I learned to compete only with myself and not to compare myself with Dolly. You get in your own lane. You run your own race. But we’re all close. I talk to Dolly at least once a week.”
We’re sure Dolly is just as thrilled as we are to see her sister compete in Celebrity MasterChef. We can only hope that Stella’s recipe for “Dolly’s Dill Dumplings” will somehow make an appearance!
