Tyler Hynes has been leaving his mark on the Hallmark channel since 2018, now acting in over 15 movies since his debut in Falling For You. But before he became known for his romantic leading roles on the network, he was making a name for himself in surprising places.
And with his smoldering good looks and biker-boy charm, it’s no surprise that he made our list of Hallmark Hunks! Here, read more about the 37-year-old Toronto native, and the Tyler Hynes Hallmark movies we love.
Tyler Hynes’ early career
Hynes’ first shot at fame came for him at the age of 8, when he took part in a 72-performance run of A Christmas Carol, playing the role of Tiny Tim. Not long after came the role of 10-year-old Tommy in The Who’s rock opera, Tommy, on its Canadian tour.
After Hynes’ time on the stage, he began his transition into film and television, his earliest roles being in Little Men, Tales from the Neverending Story, Peter Benchley’s Amazon and Tagged: The Jonathan Wamback Story. Before he got his Hallmark start, Hynes acted in numerous episodes of shows such as Valemont, The Firm, Heartland, Saving Hope, 19-2, and UnREAL.
His work with Hallmark
Since 2018, Tyler Hynes has become a fan favorite on Hallmark, one of his most recent movies being A Picture of Her (2023), with another on the way. “Everybody is absolutely lovely. And it seems like comparatively perhaps to other places, I think it’s as close as you can come to feeling like a family that is supportive,” he told UsWeekly on why he loves working for Hallmark.
“And that just sort of bookends what is an absolutely enormous pleasure, which is the people who watch these movies,” Hynes continues. “I can’t tell you enough about the human beings who watch these movies and how kind and lovely and wholesome and earnest and authentic they are. And I think it’s a very unique place.”
